Observational Study[Value of serum miR-155-5p and miR-133a-3p expression for the diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of sepsis].
To explore the value of serum microRNA-155-5p and -133a-3p (miR-155-5p and miR-133a-3p) expression for the diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of sepsis. ⋯ The expression of serum miR-155-5p and miR-133a-3p may be used as specific indicators for the diagnosis of sepsis. And the expression of miR-155-5p can be used as independent impact factor for the estimation of sepsis prognosis.

[Variation and clinical value of endothelial glycocalyx in the patients with septic shock].
To explore the variation and clinical value of the degradation of endothelial glycocalyx in the patients with septic shock. ⋯ The concentrations of degradation products generated by endothelial glycocalyx in the blood of the patients with septic shock are remarkably increased. The elevated levels of the degradation products are closely associated with the severity of septic shock, microcirculation disturbance, and the levels of inflammatory factors.

[Early diagnostic value of neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin and interleukin-18 in patients with sepsis-induced acute kidney injury].
To evaluate the early diagnosis value of blood neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) and interleukin-18 (IL-18) in patients with sepsis-induced acute kidney injury (AKI). ⋯ NGAL and IL-18 in the early prediction of sepsis patients with AKI are better than SCr, and NGAL was most sensitive. Therefore, NGAL can be used as an early biomarker for the diagnosis of AKI in patients with sepsis.

[Sepsis associated encephalopathy is an independently risk factor for nosocomial coma in patients with supratentorial intracerebral hemorrhage: a retrospective cohort study of 261 patients].
To investigate whether the presence of sepsis associated encephalopathy (SAE) would predict nosocomial coma (NC) and poor outcome in patients with supratentorial intracerebral hemorrhage (SICH). ⋯ SAE is the independent factor of inducing NC event and poor prognosis in SICH patients.

[Cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway involves in the neuroprotective effect of huperzine A on sepsis-associated encephalopathy].
To explore whether the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway is involved in the neuroprotective effect of acetylcholinesterase inhibitor huperzine A (HupA) on sepsis-associated encephalopathy (SAE) by observing the effect of HupA on the expressions of choline acetyltransferase (CHAT) and cholinergic muscarinic receptor M1 (CHRM1) of sepsis rats. ⋯ The cortical cholinergic neurons dysfunction and the abnormal inflammatory response are involved in the onset of SAE process. HupA plays a protective role in SAE through recovering the function of cholinergic neurons and cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway.
