Multicenter Study Comparative StudyBurnout, depression and job satisfaction in obstetrics and gynecology residents.
This study among ObGyn residents was designed to determine the relationship of burnout to job satisfaction, depression, and self-care activities. ⋯ Burnout is strongly correlated with depression and inversely correlated with job satisfaction. Burnout and depression were highly prevalent among ObGyn residents. Decreasing stressors and assuring motivated, committed, and supportive educators may prove to be helpful in the enhancement of resident job satisfaction.

Multicenter StudyPreferences for CPR among the elderly: the influence of attitudes and values.
While many older individuals wish to forgo cardiopulmonary resuscitation regardless of potential positive outcomes, others desire this intervention despite low chances of survival. This study examines the extent to which health, function, attitudes, and values influence preferences for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. ⋯ Attitudes toward life, perceived outcome of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and family issues play a significant role in end-of-life treatment decision-making.
