[The role of expression of Toll-like receptor 2 and Toll-like receptor 4 in hyperoxia-induced acute lung injury in rat].
To investigate the role of Toll-like receptors (TLRs) in pathogenesis of hyperoxia- induced acute lung injury (ALI). ⋯ The prolonged exposure to hyperoxia may cause ALI in rat, and TLR2 and TLR4 plays an important role in the development of hyperoxia-induced ALI in rat.

[Experimental study of early blood purification in the treatment of post traumatic pulmonary fat embolism].
To study the effect of early continuous blood purification (CBP) in the treatment of post-traumatic pulmonary fat embolism in dog. ⋯ The therapy of CBP could decrease the level of the serum TNF-alpha, IL-1 beta , IL-6 and EVLW, MPAP, PCWP, which could ameliorate gas exchange and oxygenation of the lung. And it also could reduce the number of pulmonary fat emboli and decrease the incidence of pulmonary fat embolism caused by femoral intramedullary operation.

[Non-invasive positive pressure ventilation in patients with acute hypoxemic respiratory failure: a prospective cohort study].
To investigate the clinical effect of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (NPPV) on acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (AHRF), and to look for predictors of failure of NPPV in patients with AHRF. ⋯ NPPV can be the first line treatment for severe AHRF patients without absolute contraindication, while patients of older age with pulmonary infection, the risk of failure of NPPV is higher. Lack of improvement in cardiorespiratory and oxygenation condition after a short period of NPPV is the predictor of NPPV failure.

Comparative Study Clinical Trial[Clinical experience of spontaneous breathing trial in weaning mechanical ventilation].
To compare the spontaneous breathing trial (SBT) weaning mode with the classical weaning mode for extubation in patients undergoing mechanical ventilation. ⋯ The SBT weaning mode shortens the time of mechanical ventilation and the ICU stay days. Both groups have the identical VAP rate, retubing rate in 48 hours, and ICU mortality.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Effect of positive end-expiratory pressure on the pressure gradient of venous return in hypovolemic patients under mechanical ventilation].
To assess the effects of positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) on central venous pressure (CVP) and common iliac venous pressure (CIVP), and the difference between CVP and CIVP [D(c-i)VP] in hypovolemic patients under mechanical ventilation. ⋯ The findings suggest that it may not be appropriate to use CVP or CIVP to evaluate the patients' blood volume and effect of volume resuscitation in the hypovolemic patients undergoing mechanical ventilation in combination with PEEP.
