[Is there a place for the Glasgow-Blatchford score in the management of upper gastrointestinal bleeding?].
Upper gastrointestinal bleeding is a frequent cause for emergency hospital admission. Most severity scores include in their computation the endoscopic findings. The Glasgow-Blatchford score is a validated score that is easy to calculate based on simple clinical and biological variables that can identify patients with a low or a high risk of needing a therapeutic (interventional endoscopy, surgery and/ or transfusions). ⋯ The Glasgow-Blatchford score is based on simple clinical and laboratory variables. It can recognize in the emergency department the cases that require medical treatment and those whose support could need blood transfusions and / or surgical treatment.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Effects of 15 mcg intrathecal clonidine added to bupivacaine and sufentanil for labor analgesia].
For the combined spinal epidural analgesia for labour, 30 mcg of subarachnoid clonidine has proved its effectiveness to extend the analgesia, but increased severe hemodynamic effects. ⋯ The addition of 15 mcg intra thecal clonidine to the bupivacaine and the sufentanil during combined spinal epidural analgesia for obstetrical labour results in extended significantly duration of analgesia without increasing side effects.

To focus on the various studies evaluating the effects of Nacetylcysteine in septic shock ⋯ NAC seems to play an important role in septic shock to control free radicals and the inflammatory response. But these results remain contradictory. Some larger and more standardized studies should allow to evaluate the actual effects of NAC in septic shock.

Multicenter StudyVenous thromboembolism risk and prophylaxis in the acute hospital care setting-results of the Endorse study in Tunisia.
There are not information about the risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and its prophylaxis in Tunisia. ⋯ The percentage of at risk patient in Tunisia is comparable to these of other countries. The majority of at risk patient are medical. The prophylaxis was under used. Hospital strategies to assess patient VTE risk and implementation of prophylaxis protocols are needed.
