Randomized Controlled TrialA randomized, controlled trial of nebulized 5% hypertonic saline and mixed 5% hypertonic saline with epinephrine in bronchiolitis.
Bronchiolitis is a public health problem in the word and in Tunisia. Nebulized hypertonic saline seems to have some benefits in bronchiolitis. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of nebulized 5% hypertonic saline alone or mixed with epinephrine in bronchiolitis as measured by improvement in clinical score, oxygen saturation or reduction in duration of hospitalization. ⋯ Nebulized 5% hypertonic saline or mixed 5% hypertonic saline with epinephrine are safety but does not appear effective in treating moderately ill infants with the first acute bronchiolitis.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyLower incidence of hypotension following spinal anesthesia with 6% hydroxyethyl starch preload compared to 9 ‰ saline solution in caesarean delivery.
Hypotension is a common complication following spinal anesthesia for cesarean delivery. Techniques to prevent hypotension include preloading intravenous fluid. ⋯ The incidence of hypotension was lower after preloading of 500 mL of HES 130/0.4 than preloading with 1500 mL of 9‰ saline solution.

Randomized Controlled TrialLidocaine reduces endotracheal tube associated side effects when instilled over the glottis but not when used to inflate the cuff: A double blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial.
Tracheal intubation results in an alteration of the laryngeal mucosa which can lead to undesirable effects at emergence from anaesthesia. Local anesthetics, when administered topically, may represent an interesting alternative to reduce these side effects. ⋯ When instilled onto the glottis before intubation, lidocaine reduced both the incidence of coughing and the severity of postoperative sore throat in surgery of less than 120 minutes. Intracuff lidocaine was not effective to reduce neither coughing nor sore throat severity.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyRopivacaine 0.2% versus Bupivacaine 0.25% in para-umbilical block in children.
Para-umbilical block was an old block that regains a new interest. No study was available using Ropivacaine in this block. ⋯ Ropivacaine 0.2% is equivalent to the Bupivacaine 0.25% concerning postoperative and peroperative analgesia in the para-umbilical block for umbilical herniorrhaphy.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Effects of 15 mcg intrathecal clonidine added to bupivacaine and sufentanil for labor analgesia].
For the combined spinal epidural analgesia for labour, 30 mcg of subarachnoid clonidine has proved its effectiveness to extend the analgesia, but increased severe hemodynamic effects. ⋯ The addition of 15 mcg intra thecal clonidine to the bupivacaine and the sufentanil during combined spinal epidural analgesia for obstetrical labour results in extended significantly duration of analgesia without increasing side effects.
