Randomized Controlled Trial[Optimal dose of local anesthetic mixture in ultrasound-guided infraclavicular brachial plexus block via coracoid approach: analysis of 160 cases].
To investigate the optimal dose of local anesthetic mixture in ultrasound-guided infraclavicular brachial plexus block via coracoid approach. ⋯ Ultrasound-guided infraclavicular brachial plexus block via coracoid approach can reduce the volume of local anesthetic mixture. The dose of 6 ml local anesthetic mixture for each nerve fascicle, totally 18 ml, provides good analgesic effect and does not seem to affect the time for anesthesia taking effect.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Intravenous iron sucrose in maintenance dialysis patients with renal anemia: a clinical study].
To explore the safety and efficacy of intravenous iron sucrose in maintenance dialysis and to establish the optimal administration frequency and dose. ⋯ Intravenous iron sucrose effectively increases the serum iron parameters and hemoglobin levels during maintenance peritoneal dialysis and is well tolerated. Infusing intravenous iron sucrose 200 mg every two weeks can maintain the serum iron parameters and hemoglobin level in maintenance peritoneal dialysis patients and n permits reduction of the required dose of EPO. However, the total cost of intravenous iron treatment is relatively high.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Effects of patient-controlled analgesia with small dose ketamine combined with morphine and the influence thereof on plasma beta-endorphin level in patients after radical operation for esophageal carcinoma].
To evaluate the effects of patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) with small dose ketamine combined with morphine on analgesia and influence thereof on the plasma beta-endorphin (EP) level in the patients after radical operation for esophageal carcinoma. ⋯ The combination of small dose of ketamine with morphine provides optimal analgesia with low side-effect rate and little effect on the plasma beta-EP level.
