[Evelopment of Krakow's pathological collection in 19th century].
With the evolution of pathological anatomy in the nineteenth century arose the need to create separate collection of preparations, which were used for teaching and studying important anatomical changes. Collections were built on wet preparations (mainly preserved in alcohol), dry, wax models and plaster casts usually taking form of the permanent sets. In this paper are shown, based on the analysis of the preserved documentation and reports, ways of the development of such collections which lead to the formation of the Pathological Museum of the Jagiellonian University. At the same time research is made to clarify a number of doubts and confusion which accompanied this process, which lasted a total of a few decades.

Aim of the study was presentation of own experiences with stent assisted endovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysm. Employment of cerebral stents extended endovascular embolisation technique to wide neck cerebral aneurysms. From March 2007 and October 2011 40 patients - 28 (70%) women and 12 (30%) man with 43 intracranial aneurysms were treated with stent assisted embolisation technique. ⋯ Complications appeared in 4 (9%) cases - 3 times acute stent thrombosis and once intracranial bleeding. Stent assisted endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysm allows to effectively treatment of wide neck aneurysm and decreases amount of recanalisation. However more complicated technique and higher risk of complication require experience and appropriate qualification for that treatment.

Methoxetamine (MXE) is a novel synthetic drug, structurally related to phencyclidine, with ketamine-like properties. Available in Poland since 2010, with no legal control, is adverti. sed as the "ideal dissociation drug". The aim of this study was to present a case of nasal methoxetamine acute poisoning in a 28-year-old man, the course of treatment, and the method of identification of this substance in serum and urine. ⋯ The period of acute poisoning was covered by amnesia. The MXE concentrations in serum and urine were determined using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS-MS) method, and were respectively 270 ng/ml and 660 ng/ml. Confirmed MXE poisoning increases our knowledge about this new substance, providing relevant clinical and analytical data.

We present a case of acute nutmeg poisoning used for recreational purposes. Poisoning had a stormy clinical course with symptoms of gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and nervous system. The widespread availability of nutmeg suggests that real number of these poisonings may be underestimated in our country.
