Randomized Controlled Trial
[Observation on the analgesic effect of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation for breast radical carcinoma operation].
To observe the analgesic effect of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) in assisting general anesthesia (GA) for radical operation of breast carcinoma so as to explore its clinical application value. ⋯ TEAS combined with general anesthesia for breast radical carcinoma operation can help keep a stable blood pressure during surgery, reduce the dosage of analgesics and strengthen pain relief. The analgesic effect of TEAS may be related to its effect in up-regulating plasma beta-endorphin level.

Randomized Controlled Trial
[Clinical observation on the effect of acupuncture-assisted anesthesia for 40 cases of mixed hemorrhoids surgery].
To observe the efficacy of comined administration of acupuncture and anesthetics for mixed hemorrhoids surgery and its postoperative complications. ⋯ Acupuncture combined with narcotic drugs is superior to simple anesthetics for mixed hemorrhoids surgery in reducing postoperative complications.

Randomized Controlled Trial
[Effects of electroacupuncture on bispectral index and plasma beta-endorphin in patients undergoing colonoscopy].
To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) on bispectral index (BIS) and plasma beta-endorphin (beta-EP) level in patients undergoing colonoscopy. ⋯ Acupuncture analgesia can effectively lower the colonoscopy patients' BIS value and plasma beta-EP level, meaning attenuation of the patients' stress responses during colonoscopy after EA.

Randomized Controlled Trial
[Effect of long-time retention of scalp needle on the abilities of cognition, daily living activity and P300 in vascular dementia patients].
To observe the curative effect of long-time retention of scalp needle in the treatment of vascular dementia (VD) patients, and its influence on P300. ⋯ Long-term retention of scalp acupuncture needles can improve VD patients' intelligence, ADL ability and EEG.

Randomized Controlled Trial
[Effect of transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation on blood bioactive compounds involving cerebral injury during craniotomy].
To observe the effect of transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation (TAES) on plasma ET, CGRP and serum IL-6, S100beta during craniotomy. ⋯ TAES can regulate plasma CGRP/ET and serum IL-6, lower serum S100beta level, which may contribute to its effect in relieving craniotomy-induced brain injury.
