To explore the correlation and concordance between end-tidal carbon dioxide and arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure, and confirm the experience of the general consensus among service environments. ⋯ End-tidal carbon dioxide partial pressure did not show significant correlation or concordance with arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure, especially when supplemental oxygen was used. End-tidal carbon dioxide partial pressure currently cannot replace arterial blood gas measurement as a tool for monitoring arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure. Possible reasons for the discrepancy with previous studies include small sample size in previous studies, lack of research facilities in service settings, and publication bias against negative studies.

1. Coronavirus (CoV)-HKU1 accounts for 2.4% of community-acquired pneumonia. 2. Clinical features alone cannot differentiate this entity from other community-acquired pneumonia. 3. Further studies are needed to understand the significance of CoV-HKU1 in upper respiratory tract infection and its potential to cause outbreaks of acute viral respiratory illnesses.

A patient who was given metoclopramide for vomiting and diarrhoea developed circulatory collapse with his blood pressure dropping to 50/20 mm Hg. A gastrinoma was diagnosed histologically. The extent of the tumour was defined by octreotide scanning and magnetic resonance imaging. ⋯ Follow-up octreotide scanning did not show any residual tumour. Possible causes for the circulatory collapse are discussed. Our case is probably the first patient with gastrinoma to develop circulatory collapse after being given metoclopramide.
