Meta Analysis[Meta-analysis of the effects of supplemental parenteral nutrition on prognosis of critically ill patients].
Objective: To compare the effects of supplemental parenteral nutrition (SPN) and enteral nutrition (EN) on prognosis of critically ill patients in intensive care unit (ICU) using meta-analysis. Methods: Foreign language databases including PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were retrieved with the search terms of " supplemental parenteral nutrition, parenteral nutrition, enteral nutrition, critically ill" , and Chinese database SinoMed database was retrieved with the search terms of ",,," to obtain the publicly published randomized controlled trials about the effects of SPN and EN supportive treatment on prognosis of critically ill patients in ICU from the establishment of each database to December 2018. The Google Scholar was retrieved for supplement. ⋯ The subgroup analysis showed that the risks of bias of studies and follow-up time might be sources of the heterogeneity of mechanical ventilation time. There was publication bias in ICU overall mortality (P<0.05), while no publication bias in the other outcome indexes (P>0.05). Conclusions: SPN supportive treatment can decrease the infection rate of critically ill patients in ICU, but it has no obvious influences on overall mortality, mechanical ventilation time, and length of hospital stay.

Meta Analysis[Meta-analysis of clinical effects of microskin grafting and Meek microskin grafting in repairing extensively deep burn wounds].
Objective: To systematically evaluate the clinical effects of microskin grafting and Meek microskin grafting in repairing extensively deep burn wounds using meta-analysis. Methods: Foreign language databases including PubMed and Cochrane Library were searched with the terms of " Meek micrografting, burn" , and Chinese databases including Chinese Journal Full-Text Database, Chinese Biomedical Database, VIP database, and Wanfang Data were searched with the terms in Chinese version of ", Meek," to retrieve the publicly published randomized controlled trials on the microskin grafting and Meek microskin grafting in repairing extensively deep burn wounds from the establishment of each database to March 20, 2019. The outcome indexes included the survival rate of skin graft, primary healing rate, operation time, and surgical treatment cost after the first operation, as well as the wound healing time and length of hospital stay. ⋯ Sensitivity analysis showed that the combined effect size was stable in the operation time, surgical treatment cost, and wound healing time. There was no publication bias in the survival rate of skin graft, operation time, wound healing time, and length of hospital stay (P>0.05), while the primary healing rate and surgical treatment cost had publication bias (P<0.01). Conclusions: Compared with microskin grafting, Meek microskin grafting improves the rates of skin graft survival and primary healing, shortens operation time, wound healing time, and length of hospital stay, and reduces the treatment cost in treating extensively deep burn wounds.

Meta Analysis[Meta-analysis of efficacy of pressure therapy in treating patients with hypertrophic scars].
Objective: To systematically evaluate the efficacy of pressure therapy in treating patients with hypertrophic scars by meta-analysis. Methods: Databases including PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library were retrieved with the search terms"hypertrophic scar, hyperplastic scar, HTS, pressure therapy, pressure treatment, and the Chinese Journals Full-text Database was retrieved with the search terms in Chinese version",,,,"to obtain the publicly published randomized controlled trials about pressure therapy in the treatment of patients with hypertrophic scar from the establishment of each database to July 2017. The measurement indexes included the effective ratio, Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS) score, scar vascularity, scar hardness, scar pigment, scar thickness, and value of scar color (brightness, red, and yellow). ⋯ Sensitivity analysis showed that the combined effect size results were stable in the effective ratio and scar pigment, but not stable in the VSS score, scar thickness, scar hardness, and scar vascularity. There was no publication bias in the effective ratio, VSS score, scar hardness, scar pigment, and scar vascularity (P>0.1), while there was publication bias in the scar thickness (95% confidence interval=-19.77--3.30, P<0.1). Conclusions: Compared with patients without treatment, in the treatment of hypertrophic scars, pressure therapy can obviously increase the effective ratio, reduce the VSS score and scar vascularity, but can not obviously improve the scar hardness, scar pigment, scar thickness, and value of scar color (brightness, red, and yellow).

Meta Analysis[Meta-analysis on the diagnostic value of laser Doppler imaging for burn depth].
Objective: To evaluate the value of laser Doppler imaging (LDI) in diagnosing deep or superficial partial-thickness burn wound with meta-analysis. Methods: Databases including PubMed, Cochrane Library were searched using key words " burn, burns, burn depth, laser Doppler imaging, laser Doppler perfusion imaging, LDI, LDPI" , and Chinese Journals Full-text Database, Wanfang Database, VIP Database were searched using Chinese key words ",,,," to obtain the published trials of LDI in diagnosing deep or superficial partial-thickness burn wound from the establishment of each database to October 2015. The risk of bias and applicability concerns of the included studies were evaluated by Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies-2. ⋯ The risk of bias of the selection of the patients, equipment type of LDI, and the selection of diagnostic method in control might be sources of the heterogeneity of the included studies. The Deek's funnel plot indicated that there was no publication bias caused by the results of the included studies (P>0.05). Conclusions: LDI has high sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio, diagnostic odds ratio and index of Q(*,) large area under the curve of summary receiver operating characteristics, and low negative likelihood ratio in diagnosing deep or superficial partial-thickness burn wound, which has relatively high diagnostic value.

Meta Analysis[Evaluation of the heterogeneity of systematic reviews on nutrition support for burn patients with Meta-regression algorithm].
To evaluate the heterogeneity of systematic reviews (SRs) on nutrition support for burn patients with Meta-regression algorithm quantitatively. ⋯ Quality of SRs on nutrition intervention for burn patients is poor, and significant heterogeneity exists among trials that are included in these SRs. O/E ratio from Meta-regression could be an effective tool to identify heterogeneity and its source.
