Review[Recent advances in study of neuroglobin expression in retinal diseases].
Neuroglobin (NGB) is widely exists in the retina and predominantly expressed in the plexiform layers and the inner segments. The physiological roles of NGB may include transportation of oxygen, protection against ischemia/hypoxia injury and oxidative stress, function as a redox-coupled sensor regulating the G-protein coupled transduction pathway, protection against neuronal apoptosis, and working as a terminal oxidase. Based on the function and distribution of NGB and the etiology and pathogenesis of retinal degeneration; it is possible that NGB may play a role in the development of retinal degeneration.

[Anti-MOG antibody in different types of immune-mediated optic neuritis].
To investigate the expression of anti-myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody (MOG-Ab) in different types of immune-mediated optic neuritis (IM-ON). ⋯ MOG-Ab could be detected in different types of immune-mediated optic neuritis except NMO-ON and the expression of MOG-Ab was statistically higher in MS-ON group than the 'NMO spectrum optic neuritis' group.

[Therapeutic effects of Pyranoprofen on the mouse dry eye induced by topical medication of Benzalkonium Chloride].
Randomized controlled experimental study to investigate the therapeutic effect and the possible mechanism of Pranoprofen on the recovery of dry eye induced by topical medication of Benzalkonium Chloride (BAC) in mouse. ⋯ Pranoprofen or Fluorometholone combined with sodium hyaluronate treatment presented similar therapeutic effects on BAC-induced mouse dry eye, with the more stable tear film, the better regularity of epithelium recovery, the down-regulation of inflammatory TNF-α, the increased number of goblet cells, and the elimination of squamous metaplasia, when compared with the treatment of sodium hyaluronate eye drops only. Our results showed the great potentialities of Pranoprofen in the clinical treatment of ocular surface inflammation in the mild and severity dry eye.

[Incidence and relative factors of Terson syndrome in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage].
To investigate the incidence and relative factors of Terson syndrome in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). ⋯ A higher frequency of Terson syndrome was observed in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, which had association with clinical conditions significantly. Therefore, the SAH patients with consciousness disturbance, lower GCS score and higher Hunt-Hess grade should be paid attention to ophthalmic conditions and performed fundus examination. The occurrence of Terson syndrome needs to be further explored whether to determine the prognosis in SAH patients. Terson hemorrhage absorbed spontaneously in most patients and required surgical intervention in very few patients.

[The impact factor and citation frequency of Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology from 2000 to 2009].
From the point of impact factor and citation to evaluate the academic level and influence of Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology (CJO). ⋯ The IF of CJO was stable, and ranked first in domestic academic of Ophthalmology. Meanwhile, it had a higher frequency of Citation, which shows that CJO has high quality and strong influence, and become one of main core ophthalmology journals in China.
