To determine the sensitivity and accuracy of direct MR arthrography in the diagnosis of intra-articular lesions associated with femoroacetabular impingement. ⋯ In patients with femoroacetabular impingement, direct MR arthrography can adequately detect and characterize lesions of the acetabular labrum and of the labral-chondral transitional zone as well as extensive lesions of the articular cartilage and secondary osseous changes.

To describe the detection of cortical areas and subcortical pathways involved in language observed in MRI activation studies and tractography in a 3T MRI scanner and to correlate the findings of these functional studies with direct intraoperative cortical and subcortical stimulation. ⋯ The best treatment for brain tumors is maximum resection without associated deficits, so high quality functional studies are necessary for preoperative planning.

Magnetic resonance neurography is a technique that complements clinical and electrophysiological study of the peripheral nerves and brachial and lumbosacral plexuses. Numerous focal processes (inflammatory, traumatic, primary tumors, secondary tumors) and diffuse processes (diabetic polyneuropathy, chronic idiopathic demyelinating polyneuropathy due to amyloidosis or Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease) can involve the lumbosacral plexus. This article reviews the anatomy of the lumbosacral plexus, describes the technique for neurography of the plexus at our institution, and shows the diverse diseases that affect it.

To determine the most common clinical indications for different diagnostic neuroimaging tests. To analyze the diagnostic yield for each type of test in function of its clinical indication. To quantify the number of additional imaging tests generated as a consequence of pathological findings on the initial study or of the physician's requesting an inappropriate study. ⋯ Most neuroimaging studies are performed for especially prevalent clinical indications; however, in many cases the degree of concordance between the clinical and radiological diagnosis shows there is much room for improvement.

The complete unilateral dilation of the vas deferens is an extremely rare radiologic finding. Most cystic structures adjacent to the prostate can be grouped into cysts and diverticula. The finding of an inguinal mass makes it necessary to rule out intestinal hernias and other entities. We present the case of a patient who developed an inguinal mass secondary to unilateral dilation of the vas deferens.
