Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
[Surgical Site Infections after Open Appendectomy and Effectiveness of Complex Approach to Their Prevention].
To assess an incidence rate of surgical site infections (SSI) after open appendectomy and effectiveness of combined preventive measures (CPM). ⋯ SSI after an open appendectomy remains an important problem. In order to determine a true incidence of SSI, it is necessary to improve the national nosocomial infection surveillance system. The CMP used in the study have showed a trend to significant SSI risk reduction and may be recommended to maximize patient protection. Further large studies are needed to confirm effectiveness of the proposed CMP.

[Caprini score as individual risk assessment model of postoperative venous thromboembolism in patients with high surgical risk].
The aim of this study was to estimate the role of Caprini model in forecasting of postoperative venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients with high surgical risk and to determine patients with extremely high risk of venous thrombosis by using of this scale. It was performed prospective multicenter observational study involving 140 high risk patients who underwent large abdominal (48%) or neurosurgical (52%) intervention. All patients were assessed with the Caprini model and had a mean score of 9.5±2.7 (range: 5-15). ⋯ There is significant correlation between Caprini scores and frequency of postoperative venous thromboembolism in patients with high surgical risk. Score 11 and more can identify patients with extremely high risk. These patients need for more effective prevention.

Multicenter Study Clinical Trial
[How real is the prevention of postoperative venous thromboembolic complications].
The article represents the results of the Study "The safety territory of venous thromboembolic complications". 59 surgical hospitals took part in the multi-centered study. The risk assessment of the venous thromboembolic complications and prevention measured were analyzed in 53, 596 patients.

Multicenter Study Comparative Study
[Treatment of bile ducts injuries after laparoscopic cholecystectomy].
Features of bile ducts injuries after laparoscopic cholecystectomy were analyzed at 54 patients. High level of lesions (H. Bismuth III-IV type) was revealed at 80% cases. ⋯ Biliodigestive anastomosis with Roux techniques and transhepatic drainages was the main surgical method (76% cases). Peritonitis and other severe complications required two-stage treatment. Overall 40 (74.1%) patients followed-up more 3 years; there were no cases of stricture recurrence.
