Clinical Trial[The efficacy of the misoprostol in cases of abnormal and pathologic hypotonic hemorrhage in the early puerperium].
The aim of this study is to determine the efficacy of the Misoprostol (Cytotec) in cases of abnormal and pathologic hypotonic hemorrhage in the early puerperium as a result of hypotonia of the uterus. ⋯ Misoprostol decreases the hypotonic uterine bleedings in the placental and early puerperal period. The significance of the Misoprostol in the group of therapeutic events is determined by its fast therapeutic effect, its convenient application and its good tolerance.

Review[Modern aspects of perioperative analgesia by using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in gynecology (Part II)].
It is an actual problem how to treat acute postoperative pain by using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Modern concepts for perioperative administration of these drugs are very important for the usual practice. The possibilities for optimal application of nonselective or selective COX-2 inhibitors are examined in this review.

[The incidence of foetal macrosomia and method of delivery for a two-year period in the University Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology Maichin Dom--Sofia].
The authors carried out a retrospective study on the incidence of foetal macrosomia and the method of delivery on the 6157 consecutive births for a two-year period in the University Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology "Maichin Dom"- Sofia, Bulgaria. The incidence of foetal macrosomia (birth weight > 4000 g) among these births was 4,45% (274/6157 births). ⋯ In this group 136 patients (86,33%) had normal vaginal delivery and 21 (13,37%) had operative vaginal delivery. (vacuum extractor, forceps, manual removal of the placenta). The authors found that the highest incidence of birth trauma was found in the cases where operative vaginal delivery was undertaken.
