Review[Systematic review on safety of Salvianolate injection].
To systematically evaluate the safety of salvianolate injection in clinical medication. A systematic literature search was performed in the databases of Cochrane Library, Medline, Embase, the Web of Science, Clinical Trials, CNKI, VIP, WanFang Data and CBM. Literature screening was done according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, and quality was assessed according to internationally recognized quality evaluation criteria. ⋯ The ADRs included 17 cases of rash, 9 cases of gastrointestinal reaction, 38 cases of headache, dizziness, heaviness in head, 1 case each of drug fever, hypotension, bleeding gums, chills, lip numbness, body jitter, slightly elevated ALT, 3 cases of palpitation, 4 cases of breath shortness, and 25 cases of other unkonwn ADRs. In the present study, a large number of rare, serious adverse events were not seen in clinical application of Salvianolate injection, but future long-term monitoring is needed to obtain evidence for the safety of the drug. In addition, the clinical application of Salvianolate injection is seriously beyond the instruction, so relevant departments shall urgently develop the medication specifications for salvianolate injection to provide better guidance for its clinical medication.

Meta Analysis[Efficacy and safety of Danhong injection for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis：Meta-analysis].
To systematically review the efficacy and safety of Danhong injection for patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF), two researchers electronically searched PubMed, EMbase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, CNKI, CBM, WanFang Data and VIP databases from the date of establishment to May 2016 for all randomized controlled trials(RCTs) and quasi-RCTs on the use of Danhong injection in patients with IPF. Manual search in relevant journals and search of relevant literature on other websites were also performed. The data extraction and quality assessment of included RCTs and quasi-RCT were conducted by two reviewers independently. ⋯ There were no serious or frequently happened adverse effects in the Danhong injection group, indicating high safety and good tolerance of Danhong injection in treatment of IPF. The current evidences suggested that Danhong injection in short term use(<12 weeks) could increase clinical effectiveness, improve DLCO and PaO2, and decrease the level of TGF-β1 in serum of IPF patients, with less adverse effects. However, these results should be carefully interpreted due to the low methodology quality and small sample size of trials, and this conclusion had to be further verified by high quality, large scale and double blinded RCTs.

Seven databases were retrieved, and the articles were extracted by 2 researchers according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Then the quality of all studies and extracted information was evaluated. ⋯ ADRs mainly occurred in the nervous system, cardiovascular system, digestive system and so on. Serious adverse events about sofren injection have not been found in the study, but it is still needed to be cautious in clinical applications. As the current systematic review is based on the previous studies, it is necessary to strengthen the safety monitoring in a long period, and regulate its clinical use as well.

Review[Analysis of projects funded by NSFC in field of Chinese material medica resource in recent three years].
The paper reviewed the sponsorship and final reports of projects focus on Science of Chinese materia medica resource in Medical Science Department, National Natural Science Foundation of China. The applicant and supportive organizations were analyzed. The progress and results of some projects were summarized by research fields including formation mechanism of Dao-di herbs, research of plant taxonomy, breeding and cultivation of medical plants, ecological and environmental adaptability of Chinese materia medica resource, quality assessment of Chinese materia medica resource, and biosynthesis and regulation of active compounds. In addition, the potential problems and the most and least focused areas in the application were summarized for reference.
