[Decreased basic activity and induced activity of ERK1/2 pathway in hippocampal CA1/CA2 region of ovariectomized rats].
To investigate the relationship between the spatial learning and memory and hippocampal ERK1/2 pathway activity in ovariectomized rats. ⋯ Spatial learning and memory deficits in ovariectomized rats might be correlated with the decreased basic and induced activity of ERK1/2 pathway and increased expression of RKIP in the CA1/CA2 region of hippocampus.

[Role of endogenous and exogenous hydrogen sulfide in acute lung injury induced by LPS in rats].
To explore the role of endogenous and exogenous hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury (ALI) in rats and the underlying mechanisms. ⋯ Downregulation of H2S/CSE was involved in the pathogenesis of acute lung injury induced by LPS. Endogenous and exogenous H2S provided protection against the lung injuries, which might be explained by its anti-oxidative effects, attenuating inflammatory over-reaction in lung induced by PMN,the downregulation NO/iNOS system and the upregulation of CO/HO-1 system.

[Effect of gap junction on the cardioprotection of ischemic postconditioning in rat heart].
To determine whether the cardioprotection of ischemic postconditioning and heptanol in ischemic heart against ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) is mediated by gap junction. ⋯ The cardioprotection of ischemic postconditioning and heptanol may be related to the attenuation of gap junction communication on myocardiac ischemia/reperfusion injury.

To investigate the effects of shivering on airway rewarming. ⋯ Airway rewarming is a method conducive to rewarming of hypothermia. When the body is shivering, the metabolic heat production increases obviously, that makes the rewarming rate increase markedly. So the shivering must be inhibited in order to eliminate the interference of shivering thermogenesis when the effects of airway rewarming are detected.

[Effect of nitric oxide synthase inhibitors on the changes of hemodynamic parameters and aortic tension induced by septic shock in rats].
To investigate the effect of three types of nitric oxide synthase inhibitors on the changes of hemodynamic parameters and thoracic aorta tension induced by septic shock in rats. ⋯ The three types of nitric oxide synthase inhibitors can improve the hemodynamic parameters and vasoconstriction responsiveness of endothelium-denuded aorta of septic shock rats. Furthermore, L-NAME and 7-NI improve the responsiveness of endothelium-intact aorta.
