Similarities and Differences of Early Pulmonary CT Features of Pneumonia Caused by SARS-CoV-2, SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV: Comparison Based on a Systemic Review.
Objective To compare the similarities and differences of early CT manifestations of three types of viral pneumonia induced by SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), SARS-CoV (SARS) and MERS-CoV (MERS) using a systemic review. Methods Electronic database were searched to identify all original articles and case reports presenting chest CT features for adult patients with COVID-19, SARS and MERS pneumonia respectively. Quality of literature and completeness of presented data were evaluated by consensus reached by three radiologists. ⋯ Early fibrotic changes appeared in SARS only. MERS had more severe inflammatory changes including cavitation and pleural effusion. The differences may indicate the specific pathophysiological processes for each coronavirus pneumonia.

Infection Prevention Strategy in Operating Room during Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Outbreak.
A novel coronavirus that emerged in late 2019 rapidly spread around the world. Most severe cases need endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation, and some mild cases may need emergent surgery under general anesthesia. ⋯ Therefore, aerosol-producing procedures such as endotracheal intubation and airway suction may put the healthcare providers at high risk of nosocomial infection. Based on recently published articles, this review provides detailed feasible recommendations for primary anesthesiologists on infection prevention in operating room during COVID-19 outbreak.

Therapy of Rituximab in Idiopathic Membranous Nephropathy with Nephrotic Syndrome: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of rituximab (RTX) in the treatment of idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN) with nephrotic syndrome with a systematic review and meta-analysis. Methods PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library and Clinical Trials (December 2016) were searched to identify researches investigating the treatment of RTX in adult patients with biopsy-proven IMN. Complete remission (CR) or partial remission was regarded as effective therapy, and the cumulated remission rate was calculated. ⋯ Conclusions RTX treatment in IMN was efficient, well tolerated and safe. More than 60% patients can reach partial remission or CR in 24 months, and relapse is rare. Adverse events of RTX are mostly infusion-related reactions and generally mild.

Efficacy and Safety of SGLT2 Inhibitors in Patients with Type 1 Diabetes: A Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.
Objective To assess the efficiency and safety of a novel sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor-SGLT2 inhibitors, in combination with insulin for type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM). Methods We searched Medline, Embase, and the Cochrane Collaboration Library to identify the eligible studies published between January 2010 and July 2016 without restriction of language. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) data and ClinicalTrials (http://www.clinicaltrials.gov) were also searched. ⋯ SGLT2 inhibitors could also increase the excretion of urine glucose (MD 131.09 g/24 h, 95%CI 91.79 to 170.39, P<0.001). There were no significant differences in the incidences of hyperglycemia [odds ratio (OR) 1.82, 95%CI 0.63 to 5.29, P=0.27], urinary tract infection (OR 0.95, 95%CI 0.19 to 4.85, P=0.95), genital tract infection (OR 0.27, 95%CI 0.01 to 7.19, P=0.43), and diabetic ketoacidosis (OR 6.03, 95%CI 0.27 to 135.99, P=0.26) between the two groups. Conclusion SGLT2 inhibitors combined with insulin might be an efficient and safe treatment modality for T1DM patients.
