Advances in burn management over the past 2 decades have resulted in improved survival and reduced morbidity. The treatment of a single patient following a 90% total body surface area injury illustrates the intensity of labour and coordinated hospital care required for such catastrophically injured patients. Data were extracted from the medical records and from personal recollections of the individual members of the multidisciplinary team as well as from the patient. The clinical course and management of complications are described chronologically as a series of overlapping phases from admission to discharge.

Three-dimensional printing, a technology used for decades in the industrial field, gains a lot of attention in the medical field for its potential benefits. With advancement of desktop printers, this technology is accessible and a lot of research is going on in the medical field. ⋯ Three-dimensional printing can be a very powerful tool in the near future, which can aid the medical field that is facing a lot of challenges and obstacles. However, despite the reported results, further research on larger samples and analytical measurements should be conducted to ensure this technology's impact on the practice.

Objective: Pilomatrixomas are benign neoplasms originating from the cells of hair follicles. They typically present as a slowly enlarging, solitary mass on hair-bearing areas of the head and neck. While a common childhood lesion, pilomatrixomas are unusual in infancy. ⋯ Conclusion: We believe that this is the first such reported presentation of a pilomatrixoma. Given its incidence, we encourage readers to consider this diagnosis when evaluating similar pediatric skin lesions of the head and neck. Complete surgical excision is the definitive treatment.

Cloud-based applications including Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote, Notability, and Zotero are available for smartphones, tablets, and laptops and have revolutionized the manner in which medical students and surgeons read and utilize plastic surgery literature. Here we provide an overview of the use of Cloud computing in practice and propose an algorithm for organizing the vast amount of plastic surgery literature. Given the incredible amount of data being produced in plastic surgery and other surgical subspecialties, it is prudent for plastic surgeons to lead the process of providing solutions for the efficient organization and effective integration of the ever-increasing data into clinical practice.

Following breast reduction procedures, the level of postoperative pain can be severe, and sufficient pain control influences a patient's physiological, immunological, and psychological status. ⋯ Intrathecal morphine may effectively control pain with lower total morphine consumption following breast reduction surgery.
