Meta Analysis
An evaluation of motor evoked potential surrogate endpoints during intracranial vascular procedures.
MEPs are used as surrogate endpoints to predict the effectiveness of interventions, made in response to MEP deterioration, in avoiding new postoperative deficits. MEP performance in capturing intervention effects on these outcomes was investigated. ⋯ The performance of MEPs as substitute, or surrogate, endpoints during intracranial vascular surgeries for new deficits in motor strength in the immediate postoperative period was directly assessed for ten recent studies.

Review Meta Analysis
Does anodal transcranial direct current stimulation modulate sensory perception and pain? A meta-analysis study.
The primary aim of this systematic review was to evaluate the effects of anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (a-tDCS) on sensory (STh) and pain thresholds (PTh) in healthy individuals and pain levels (PL) in patients with chronic pain. ⋯ Site of stimulation should have a differential effect over pain relief.

Meta Analysis
Predicting coma and other low responsive patients outcome using event-related brain potentials: a meta-analysis.
A meta-analysis was performed to estimate the predictive power (odd ratio, OR) for awakening of auditory event-related potential (ERP) components in low responsive patients with stroke or hemorrhage, trauma, anoxic, post-operative, and metabolic encephalopathy etiologies. ⋯ The prognostic assessment of low responsive patients with auditory ERP should take into account both MMN and P300.
