Effect of a Non-pharmacological Intervention on Vaccine-related Pain: Randomized Clinical Trial.
Acute pain during vaccine administration is an expected event; however, some strategies, such as the use of high frequency vibration devices associated with cryotherapy, may minimize it. ⋯ The use of high frequency vibration associated with cryotherapy has been shown to be a viable non-pharmacological intervention for the reduction of pain associated with influenza vaccination in adults.

Effects of Auricular Acupressure on Pain and Stress in Nursing College Students With Cervical Pain: A Single-Blind Placebo-Controlled Trial.
This study aimed to examine the effects of auricular acupressure (AA) on neck pain and stress in nursing students with neck pain. ⋯ AA applied for four weeks was found to be safe, noninvasive, and effective in reducing neck pain in nursing students with cervical pain.

The Effects of Self-Acupressure on Pain and Sleep Quality in Patients With Coronary Artery Disease: A Randomised Controlled Trial.
The most important cause of death among cardiovascular diseases is coronary artery disease (CAD). Pain and insomnia symptoms are the most common symptoms in CAD patients. Acupressure is used in patients with CAD as one of the energy-based complementary and alternative methods. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of self-acupressure on pain and sleep quality in patients with coronary artery disease. ⋯ Self-acupressure is an accessible and inexpensive method, it is recommended to be supported and maintained in the management of coronary artery disease in nursing practice.

The Effects of Virtual Reality Application on Pain Intensity, Anxiety Level and Patient Satisfaction in Patients Who Undergo Bronchoscopy: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
Bronchoscopy is a medical procedure that allows imaging of the airways and lungs. With the help of a light and camera at its tip, the bronchoscope device can enter the airway and provide real-time visualization. Since most patients are conscious during the bronchoscopy procedure, they may experience pain and anxiety regarding possible complications and an uncertain outcome. ⋯ Study results for this sample revealed that the use of VR decreased pain intensity scores, state anxiety levels, anxiety severity, diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate, and increased O2 saturation in patients who underwent bronchoscopy. In line with these results, VR should be considered during bronchoscopy procedures.

Effects of Using Virtual Reality Technology on Pain and Hemodynamic Variables in Patients Receiving Hand Laceration Repair in an Emergency Department: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
Pain and altered hemodynamic variables are among the most common complications in patients undergoing hand laceration repair in an Emergency Department. ⋯ Semi-immersive VR is effective in managing pain and hemodynamic variables during hand laceration repair. The nurses could use the semi-immersive VR to better control of pain and hemodynamic variables during hand laceration repair.
