[Clinical study of unrelated umbilical cord blood transplantation for 25 patients with hematological diseases].
This study was purposed to investigate the engraftment, graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), transplantation related mortality (TRM), relapse and survival in hematologic patients received unrelated umbilical cord blood transplantation (UCBT). A total of 25 patients with hematological disease underwent UCBT, including 8 pediatric and 17 young adult patients. Among them 3 cases received single unit of UCBT and 22 cases received double units of UCBT. ⋯ Among 3 cases of hematologic malignancies at advanced stage, only 1 case survived to date. It is concluded that HLA-4-6/6 loci matched UCBT is an effective option to treat hematological diseases. Double cord blood transplantation (dUCBT) can overcome the disadvantage of insufficient cells of single cord blood UCBT to treat overweight children and adult.

[Differential analysis of BM cell morphology, immunophenotypic, cytogenetic characters and prognosis between myeloblastic and lymphoblastic crisis of CML].
This study was purposed to investigate the difference of morphology, immunophenotype, cytogenetic features and prognosis between myeloid blast crisis and lymphoid blast crisis of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). A total of 31 patients with CML in blastic crisis in Department of Hematology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University school of Medicine from 2009 January to 2014 January were enrolled in this study. Out of 31 CML patients, 24 cases were patients with myeloid blast crisis and other 7 cases were patients with lymphoblastic crisis. ⋯ Patients with myeloid blastic crisis of CML mainly expressed CD33, CD13, CD38, CD34, CD11b and HLA-DR, and could be accompanied by other lineage antigen expression, but the score was less than 2. New chromosome aberration is easily observed in myeloid blastic crisis of CML. There is no significant difference of overall survival rate of between CML patients with lymphoid and myeloid blastic crisis, but the overall survival rate of patients treated with TKI is higher than the patients without TKI treatment.

[Ratio of erythrocyte and plasma in massive blood transfusion].
This study was purposed to explore the suitable ratio between fresh frozen plasma and erythrocyte by retrospective analysis of coagulation in patients with massive blood transfusion. The clinical data of 151 cases with massive blood transfusion from January 2011 to January 2013 were analyzed retrospectively. According to coagulation, patients were divided into coagulation normal group (138 cases) and coagulation dysfunction group (13 cases). ⋯ Coagulation was detected before and after 24 h of massive blood transfusion. The results showed that prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) and thrombin time (TT) were prolonged, fibrinogen (FIB) level decreased significantly (all P < 0.05) in the low plasma subgroup of coagulation normal group after massive blood transfusion 24 h; the high plasma and the medium plasma group of coagulation normal group had no significant changes in coagulation (P > 0.05); prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time, thrombin time and fibrinogen level in the medium plasma and low plasma subgroup of coagulation dysfunction group after massive transfusion was still in abnormal levels (P > 0.05), coagulation function in high plasma subgroup was improved significantly (P < 0.05). It is concluded that the ratio of plasma to erythrocyte should be adjusted according to the patient's coagulation function during massive blood transfusion, the ratio between fresh frozen plasma and erythrocyte is recommended to be 2:1 in patients of coagulation dysfunction in order to improve the patient's coagulation function and to reduce the incidence of adverse event, the ratio of fresh frozen plasma to erythrocyte is recommended to be 1:1 in patients with normal coagulation so as to reduce the dilutional coagulopathy and hypervolemia of blood.

[Evaluation of neutrophilic CD64 index as a diagnostic marker of bacterial infection in blood diseases].
This study was aimed to investigate the value of neutrophilic CD64 index (nCD64 index) as a diagnostic marker of bacterial infection in hematologic diseases. Experimental data of 232 patients with hematologic diseases were analyzed retrospectively. The nCD64 index was detected by flow cytometry and was compared with the levels of erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C reaction protein (CRP) and fibrinogen respectively. ⋯ The result of ROC curve analysis showed that the optimal critical values of nCD64 index, ESR, CRP and Fib were 4.96, 21.5 mm/h, 8.56 mg/dl and 4.42 mg/dl, respectively. The sensitivity and specificity of nCD64 index were 0.928 and 0.933, while the sensitivities of ESR, CRP and Fib were 0.725, 0.754 and 0.594, and the specificities of CRP, ESR and Fib were 0.625,0.837 and 0.77, respectively. It is concluded that nCD64 index is possessed of much higher in sensitivity and specificity, compared with ESR, CRP and Fib in diagnosis of bacterial infection of hematologic diseases. nCD64 index can be used as an effective diagnostic marker for bacterial infection of hematologic diseases.
