Review[Shoulder arthroscopy: setting, portals and normal exploration].
Arthroscopy has been established as a valuable technique in diagnosis and treatment of the injured and deseased shoulder. Arthroscopy is not a new diagnostic tool but offers new approaches to the surgical treatment of shoulder pathology. Shoulder arthroscopy is usally performed under general anesthesia or/with scalene block. ⋯ Diagnostic arthroscopic is initiated with insertion of the arthroscope from the posterior portal into the gleno humeral joint. Inspection should be organized systematic visualization of the entire joint (articular surfaces of the glenoid and humeral head, glenoid labrum, long head of the biceps tendon, sub scapularis tendon, axillary pouch, capsular ligaments, synovial membrane). Then endoscopic visualization of the subacromail space is a valuable and essential adjunct to the gleno humeral arthroscopy (impingement syndrome, rotator cuff tears, calcific tendinitis, acromiocalvicular joint disorders).

Review Comparative Study[Pain perioperative in surgery of the hand].
Pain has to be treated during the perioperative period. The recent improvement in pain treatment results from a better understanding of pain mechanisms, strict evaluations and appropriate protocols for pain management. ⋯ Preventive treatments have to be considered first as the best pain treatment. Review[Osteosynthesis of distal radius fractures by doral plate: advantages and disadvantages].
Distal radius fractures remain a challenge. No one osteosynthesis procedure can solve all the problems. A method of analysis is necessary in order to choose the best tools. ⋯ The learning curve of the operative procedure and the design of the implants can explain the occurrence of several complications. The dorsal plate is effective against secondary dorsal displacement. This demanding procedure must be compared with other reported procedures (pining and external fixator) to define the advantages and disadvantages.

An uncommon case has been reported of bilateral transscaphoid-perilunate dislocation fracture following trauma. A 35-year-old male with bilateral transscapholunate dislocation was treated by closed reduction and internal fixation. The case was examined in detail, and compared to the findings in the literature; observations regarding fracture prognosis were also made. Two years post-surgery, the patient remained asymptomatic.

Review Case ReportsSynovial osteochondromatosis at the elbow producing ulnar and median nerve palsy. Case report and review of the literature.
The authors present the case of a 53-year-old woman suffering from synovial osteochondromatosis of her right elbow responsible for ulnar and median nerve entrapment neuropathy. This condition is characterised by the formation of multiple cartilaginous nodules in the metaplastic synovium of otherwise normal joints, bursae or tendon sheaths. ⋯ Synovial osteochondromatosis complicated by nerve compression syndromes has been rarely reported, usually with ulnar tunnel syndrome at the elbow. The literature on this subject is reviewed.
