Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyOptical coherence tomography versus punch biopsy for diagnosis of basal cell carcinoma: a multicentre, randomised, non-inferiority trial.
Punch biopsy is the gold standard for diagnosis and subtyping of basal cell carcinoma. The aim of this study was to assess whether use of optical coherence tomography (OCT), a non-invasive imaging tool, might avoid the need for biopsy. ⋯ The Netherlands Organization for Health Research and Development and Maurits en Anna de Kock Stichting.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyDoxorubicin alone versus doxorubicin with trabectedin followed by trabectedin alone as first-line therapy for metastatic or unresectable leiomyosarcoma (LMS-04): a randomised, multicentre, open-label phase 3 trial.
Metastatic leiomyosarcomas have a poor prognosis, and currently doxorubicin alone is used as the standard first-line treatment. Doxorubicin combined with trabectedin has shown promising results in phase 1 and 2 studies. We aimed to identify and compare the progression-free survival of patients with metastatic or unresectable uterine or soft tissue leiomyosarcoma treated with doxorubicin and trabectedin combined as first-line therapy versus doxorubicin alone in a phase 3 trial. ⋯ PharmaMar.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyCabozantinib plus atezolizumab versus sorafenib for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (COSMIC-312): a multicentre, open-label, randomised, phase 3 trial.
Cabozantinib has shown clinical activity in combination with checkpoint inhibitors in solid tumours. The COSMIC-312 trial assessed cabozantinib plus atezolizumab versus sorafenib as first-line systemic treatment for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. ⋯ Exelixis and Ipsen.

Multicenter StudyZandelisib with continuous or intermittent dosing as monotherapy or in combination with rituximab in patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancy: a multicentre, first-in-patient, dose-escalation and dose-expansion, phase 1b trial.
Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase p110δ (PI3Kδ) inhibitors are efficacious in B-cell malignancies. Immune-related adverse events might be mitigated with intermittent dosing. We aimed to evaluate the safety and antitumour activity of zandelisib, a potent novel PI3Kδ inhibitor, with continuous or intermittent dosing as monotherapy or in combination with rituximab, in patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancy. ⋯ MEI Pharma.

Multicenter StudyImmune checkpoint inhibitors in kidney transplant recipients: a multicentre, single-arm, phase 1 study.
Most kidney transplant recipients with cancer stop or reduce immunosuppressive therapy before starting treatment with an immune checkpoint inhibitor, and approximately 40% of such patients will develop allograft rejection. Isolated immunosuppression reduction might be associated with organ rejection. Whether immunosuppression manipulation, immune checkpoint inhibition, or both, induce organ rejection is difficult to ascertain. The aim of this study was to examine the risk of allograft rejection with immune checkpoint inhibitor exposure when baseline immunosuppression was left unchanged. ⋯ Bristol Myers Squibb.
