Meta Analysis[Meta-analysis of Platelet Lymphocyte Ratio as A Prognostic Factor for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer].
Current research shows that platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) has important prognostic value in renal cell carcinoma, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer and colon cancer. The aim of the study is to evaluate the prognostic value of PLR in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) through meta-analysis. ⋯ Increased PLR is associated with poor prognosis in NSCLC, so PLR may be an important biological predictive marker for NSCLC patients, however, its clinical application still needs to be verified through more research in the future.

Meta Analysis[Intercalated Combination of Chemotherapy and EGFR-TKIs versus Chemotherapy Alone in the First-line Treatment of Advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer: A Meta-analysis].
The combination therapy of chemotherapy and epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) has attracted the attention of more and more investigators. The aim of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of intercalated combination of chemotherapy and EGFR- TKIs versus chemotherapy alone in the first-line therapy of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ⋯ The intercalated combination of chemotherapy and EGFR-TKIs significantly prolonged the PFS in the first-line therapy of advanced NSCLC patients compared with mono-chemotherapy, and the main adverse events were tolerable rash and diarrhea. Together, the intercalated combination shows promising results, and more large-scale and high-quality RCTs are still needed.

Meta Analysis[Effectiveness of EGFR-TKIs versus chemotherapy as first-line treatment for advanced non-small cell lung cancer: a meta-analysis].
Epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) has been used for the first-line treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and has shown good clinical effects. However, some patients fail to benefit from this treatment. The aim of this study is to analyze whether or not clinical-selected patients (Asian, adenocarcinoma histology, non-smoking) and EGFR mutation-selected patients benefit from EGFR-TKIs or chemotherapy. Our results could be used as basis to guide clinical therapy. ⋯ EGFR mutation-selected patients received more benefits from EGFR-TKI first-line treatment than other treatments. First-line EGFR-TKI treatment was recommended for clinically selected patients who were unsuitable for themotherapy. By comparison, first-line EGFR-TKI treatment was not a suitable choice for unselected patients.

Meta Analysis[A meta analysis of aidi injection plus taxotere and cisplatin in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer].
Compared with chemotherapy, whether aidi injection can improve the patient's quality of life is not definite. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of axotere plus eisplatin chemotherapy combining aidi injection for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ⋯ Compared with TP chemotherapy alone, the combination can significantly improve the efficiency, QOL and myelosuppression, and reduce adverse events.

Meta Analysis[A meta-analysis of the timing of chest radiotherapy in patients with limited-stage small cell lung cancer].
Although evidence for a significant survival benefit of chest radiotherapy has been proven, no conclusion could be drawn regarding the optimal timing of chest radiation. The aim of this study is to explore whether the timing of chest radiation may influence the survival of the patients with limited-stage small-cell lung cancer (LSSCLC) by performing a literature-based meta-analysis. ⋯ No statistical difference was observed in 2/3 years survival and toxicity, including pneumonitis, esophagitis and thrombocytopenia, between early radiation and late radiotherapy in LS-SCLC.
