Randomized Controlled Trial
Do patients with fibromyalgia have body image and tactile acuity distortion?
The aims of this study were twofold: (1) to compare the body image and tactile acuity of patients with fibromyalgia and asymptomatic participants, and (2) to investigate the effects of an 8-week exercise-based intervention (aerobic or Pilates exercises) on the body image, tactile acuity, and pain intensity in patients with fibromyalgia. ⋯ Patients with fibromyalgia presented altered perception in subjective body image but not on tactile acuity, when compared to asymptomatic participants. In addition, there was no difference between aerobic exercise and Pilates for pain and tactile acuity in these patients.

Pain catastrophizing scale (PCS) is the most used scale to measure pain catastrophizing. In breast cancer survivors (BCS), pain catastrophizing is related to upper-limbs dysfunction and disability. This study aimed to assess the internal consistency, internal structure, and convergent validity of the Spanish version of the PCS in Spanish BCS. ⋯ Pain catastrophizing scale is a valid and reliable instrument to evaluate pain catastrophizing in Spanish BCS. This tool may help clinicians in the management of pain by assessing pain and by measuring the effect of interventions.

The goal of this study was to explore additional evidence of convergent and discriminant validity of the Central Sensitization Inventory (CSI) in a large sample of subjects with fibromyalgia (FM). ⋯ The current study successfully showed additional evidence of the convergent and discriminant validity of the CSI in FM patients.

This study explored the bidirectional relationship between fibromyalgia and migraine among probands with either of the two disorders and their unaffected siblings. ⋯ The bidirectional association between fibromyalgia and migraine among probands and unaffected siblings suggests a familial coaggregation of these two conditions. Additional studies are required to investigate the genetic and environmental etiologies for this coaggregation.

Review Meta Analysis
Application of Cinnarizine in Migraine Prevention: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
To investigate and analyze the available data on the prophylactic effectiveness of cinnarizine in migraine disorder. ⋯ Cinnarizine can be considered a safe and effective medication for migraine prophylaxis. However, the relatively small sample size made reaching a definite conclusion impossible. Therefore, a higher number of randomized controlled trials are recommended to be taken place to clarify the situation further.
