Meta AnalysisUltrasound-Guided Nerve Hydrodissection for the Management of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: A Systematic Review and Network Meta-Analysis.
Ultrasound-guided nerve hydrodissection has emerged as a potential non-surgical treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). The objective of this research was to offer suggestions for optimizing injectables utilized in hydrodissection for the treatment of CTS through a systematic review and network meta-analysis. ⋯ Administration of 5% DW showed better results in terms of initial symptom relief and long-term functional recovery compared to other agents, while platelet-rich plasma showed greater long-term symptom improvement; an injection dose of 5 cc showed the greatest benefit. However, additional research is required to establish precise protocols based on disease severity.

Meta AnalysisHospital readmission after surviving sepsis: A systematic review of readmission reasons and meta-analysis of readmission rates.
To review the evidence regarding hospital readmission diagnoses and analyse related readmission rates following a sepsis admission. ⋯ Infection and sepsis are frequent readmission diagnoses for sepsis survivors, with one in 21 adult survivors readmitted for sepsis at 30-days. Meta-analysis on the primary approach: Aspiration versus stent retrieval for internal carotid artery occlusion.
Previous studies have not provided consistent findings regarding the efficacy of aspiration thrombectomy versus stent retriever thrombectomy in patients with acute internal carotid artery occlusion. This study aimed to evaluate the preferable endovascular technique (aspiration or stent retriever) and the impact of stent retriever utilization on both clinical and angiographic outcomes. ⋯ In our review on intracranial internal carotid artery occlusion, stent retrievers outperformed direct aspiration in achieving successful reperfusion. However, further studies evaluating the effects of different approaches to internal carotid artery clot removal are required to confirm these results.

Efficacy and safety of rifaximin for the prophylaxis of hepatic encephalopathy: A meta-analysis.
The efficacy of rifaximin in the prevention of overt hepatic encephalopathy (HE) has not been established. The aim of this study was to access the efficacy and safety of rifaximin in the prophylaxis of HE. ⋯ Rifaximin is beneficial for primary and secondary prevention of HE, but it does not reduce mortality or increase the incidence of adverse events in patients with end-stage cirrhosis caused by virus or alcohol.
