Liver cirrhosis complicated by portal vein thrombosis (PVT) is a fatal complication with no specific manifestations but often misdiagnosed, it crucially increases the mortality worldwide. This study aimed to identify risk factors and establish a predictive model for diagnosis of venous thrombosis clinical by routine blood tests and endoscopic characteristics. ⋯ Blood test combined endoscopic characters could preliminarily predict the liver cirrhosis with portal vein thrombosis for cirrhotic patients undergoing endoscopic examination.

Platelet transfusion refractoriness (PTR) is a frustrating clinical problem, and primary and persistent (P/P) PTR who experienced persistent PTR since the first transfusion was failed to be well recognized. This study aims to investigate the incidence and risk factors for P/P PTR. ⋯ This work emphasized the significance of anti-HLA-C autoantibody for P/P PTR in hematological patients, and rituximab may therapeutic.

Calcinosis cutis of hands can progress and impair hand function in systemic sclerosis (SSc). Understanding the natural disease and comprehensive management is crucial. ⋯ Progression of calcinosis cutis in early SSc increased over time, particularly within 3 years after the first evaluation. Elderly patients and those with vasculopathy were found more frequently. Further study with a larger cohort is needed to support these findings.

Develop risk-adapted conditional biopsy pathways utilizing MRI in combination with prostate-specific antigen (PSA) density (PSAD) and the ratio of free to total PSA (f/tPSA), respectively, to enhance the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) while minimizing 'negative' biopsies in low-risk patients. ⋯ The integration of MRI and PSA-derived indicators enables effective patient risk stratification, thereby providing valuable decision-making pathways to enhance the management of csPCa while minimizing 'negative' biopsies.

This study aims to explore the role of exosome-related genes in breast cancer (BRCA) metastasis by integrating RNA-seq and single-cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq) data from BRCA samples and to develop a reliable prognostic model. ⋯ This study presents a novel risk score model based on exosome-related genes, validated by comprehensive analyses including differential expression, survival analysis and external dataset validation. The model's clinical significance is reinforced through its ability to stratify patients into high- and low-risk groups with distinct survival outcomes and immune landscape characteristics. The integration of RNA-seq and scRNA-seq data highlights the predictive accuracy of the model and underscores its potential for identifying novel therapeutic targets and improving patient prognosis.
