Multicenter StudyUse of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest registries to assess COVID-19 home mortality.
In most countries, the official statistics for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) take account of in-hospital deaths but not those that occur at home. The study's objective was to introduce a methodology to assess COVID-19 home deaths by analysing the French national out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) registry (RéAC). ⋯ The ratio of COVID-19 out-of-hospital deaths to in-hospital deaths was 12.4%, and so the national statistics underestimated the death rate.

Influence of the Covid-19 pandemic on out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. A Spanish nationwide prospective cohort study.
The influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on attendance to out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) has only been described in city or regional settings. The impact of COVID-19 across an entire country with a high infection rate is yet to be explored. ⋯ ISRCTN10437835.

Extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) is expected to improve the neurological outcomes of patients with refractory cardiac arrest; however, it is invasive, expensive, and requires substantial human resources. The ability to predict neurological outcomes would assist in patient selection for ECPR. ⋯ In this study, the scoring system had good discrimination and calibration performance to predict favorable neurological outcomes of patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and shockable rhythm who were treated with ECPR.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyRole of coronary angiography in patients with a non-diagnostic electrocardiogram following out of hospital cardiac arrest: Rationale and design of the multicentre randomized controlled COUPE trial.
Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a major cause of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). The role of emergency coronary angiography (CAG) and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) following cardiac arrest in patients without ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) remains unclear. ⋯ This study will assess the efficacy of an emergency CAG versus a deferred one in OHCA patients without STEMI in terms of survival and neurological impairment.

Multicenter Study Observational StudyEpidemiology of out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrests, knowledge of cardiovascular disease and risk factors in a regional setting in India: The Warangal Area out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrest Registry (WACAR).
Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) is a global public health problem. There is inadequate data on OHCA in India. The Warangal Area out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrest Registry (WACAR) was planned to understand OHCA in a regional setting in India. ⋯ The WACAR study provides baseline data regarding OHCA in a regional setting in India. The study demonstrated barriers involving data collection, patient knowledge of CVD risk factors and disease, and access to healthcare, which; impacted the data registry.
