Although noninvasive brain stimulation (NIBS) techniques are an effective alternative treatment option, their relative effects in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) remain undefined. Here, we aimed to compare motor efficacy of the NIBS techniques in PD. ⋯ HFrTMS is an effective intervention in improving motor function. Besides, its combination with another NIBS technique produces better therapeutic effects in the "on" state.

Daratumumab as a monoclonal antibody has shown promising results in the treatment of relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). However, the efficacy and safety of daratumumab-based regimens compared to control regimens have not been fully established. ⋯ Our results suggest that daratumumab-based regimens are effective in the treatment of RRMM, improving progression-free survival, minimal residual disease, and overall response rate. However, there is an increased risk of pneumonia, upper respiratory tract infections, and diarrhea. Further studies are needed to determine the long-term safety and efficacy of daratumumab in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

Review Meta AnalysisPharmacological and electronic cigarette interventions for smoking cessation in adults: component network meta-analyses.
Tobacco smoking is the leading preventable cause of death and disease worldwide. Stopping smoking can reduce this harm and many people would like to stop. There are a number of medicines licenced to help people quit globally, and e-cigarettes are used for this purpose in many countries. Typically treatments work by reducing cravings to smoke, thus aiding initial abstinence and preventing relapse. More information on comparative effects of these treatments is needed to inform treatment decisions and policies. ⋯ The most effective interventions were nicotine e-cigarettes, varenicline and cytisine (all high certainty), as well as combination NRT (additive effect, certainty not rated). There was also high-certainty evidence for the effectiveness of nicotine patch, fast-acting NRT and bupropion. Less certain evidence of benefit was present for nortriptyline (moderate certainty), non-nicotine e-cigarettes and tapering of nicotine dose (both low certainty). There was moderate-certainty evidence that bupropion may slightly increase the frequency of SAEs, although there was also the possibility of no increased risk. There was no clear evidence that any other tested interventions increased SAEs. Overall, SAE data were sparse with very low numbers of SAEs, and so further evidence may change our interpretation and certainty. Future studies should report SAEs to strengthen certainty in this outcome. More head-to-head comparisons of the most effective interventions are needed, as are tests of combinations of these. Future work should unify data from behavioural and pharmacological interventions to inform approaches to combined support for smoking cessation.

Review Meta AnalysisFortification of condiments and seasonings with iron for preventing anaemia and improving health.
Anaemia affects approximately 1.8 billion people worldwide; over 60% of anaemia cases globally are due to iron deficiency (ID). Iron deficiency and anaemia contribute to the global burden of disease and affect physical and cognitive development in children, and work productivity and economic well-being in adults. Fortification of food with iron, alone or in combination with other nutrients, is an effective intervention to control ID. Condiments and seasonings are ideal food vehicles for iron fortification in countries where they are commonly used. ⋯ We are uncertain whether consuming iron-fortified condiments/seasonings reduces anaemia, improves haemoglobin concentration, or improves ferritin concentration. It may reduce ID. Findings about ferritin should be interpreted with caution since its concentrations increase during inflammation. Consuming condiments/seasonings fortified with iron plus other micronutrients may reduce anaemia, and we are uncertain whether this will improve haemoglobin concentration or ferritin concentration. More studies are needed to determine the true effect of iron-fortified condiments/seasonings on preventing anaemia and improving health. The effects of this intervention on other health outcomes like malaria incidence, growth and development are unclear.

Kidney transplantation is the most important treatment for end-stage renal disease. Immunosuppressive therapies can prevent acute rejection for kidney transplant recipients. Tacrolimus is usually administered to prevent graft rejection after transplantation. Previous studies have indicated that once-daily tacrolimus may improve medication adherence. Therefore, this meta-analysis aimed to compare clinical outcomes between once-daily and twice-daily tacrolimus in de novo renal transplant patients. ⋯ Our major findings suggest that de novo renal transplantation recipients receiving once-daily tacrolimus immediately after transplantation have comparable efficacy and safety with those recipients who received twice-daily tacrolimus. Therefore, once-daily tacrolimus medication can be an alternative for de novo renal transplantation recipients.
