Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory disease that involves the rectum, colon and ileum. Gancao Xiexin decoction (GCXXD) is a classic herbal formula in Shanghanlun. More and more research evidence shows that GCXXD has a certain therapeutic effect on UC. Coronavirus diseases 2019 (COVID-19) has become a global pandemic. To add to the scarce information on this disease, here, we investigated the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of 93 hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in Jilin, China from January 22 to March 15, 2020. We retrospectively investigated the demographic information, recent exposure history, clinical symptoms or signs, comorbidity, chest computed tomographic (CT) scan or X-ray results, laboratory test results, diagnostic classification, treatment, length of hospitalization, complications, and outcomes. ⋯ The average incubation time is prolonged in the present analysis, as compared to that in other reports. A few patients symptoms improved but CT exacerbated. Therefore, we suggest that close follow-up observation is still required after discharge.

Allergic rhinitis is an allergic disease of the nasal mucosa mediated by IgE after the body is exposed to allergens. Acupuncture of sphenoid ganglion is a new technique developed by Professor Li Xinwu in the 1860 s to treat allergic rhinitis the efficacy of acupuncture on the sphenopalatine ganglion in the treatment of AR has been clinically verified, but a systematic review and meta-analysis of them is lacking. Our purpose is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture on the sphenopalatine ganglion in the treatment of AR. ⋯ Since this article does not involve patient privacy, ethical approval is not required.

Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) is a common physical and psychological disease in dental department. Pain and mandibular limitation are the main reasons for patients to seek oral treatment. However, the presence of kinesiophobia, patients often catastrophize pain, so as to avoid mandibular movement, which seriously affects their quality of life. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) has significant improvements in reducing kinesiophobia and quality of life in musculoskeletal disease, but has not been proved in TMD patients. The study aims to apply CBT on kinesiophobia and oral health related quality of life (OHRQOL) in TMD patients. ⋯ This study protocol reported a randomized controlled trial which aimed at assessing the effectiveness of the CBT versus conventional treatment with TMD.
