Incidence and mortality trend of congenital heart disease at the global, regional, and national level, 1990-2017.
Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most commonly diagnosed congenital disorder in newborns. The incidence and mortality of CHD vary worldwide. A detailed understanding of the global, regional, and national distribution of CHD is critical for CHD prevention. ⋯ The incidence of CHD remained stable over the last 3 decades, suggesting little improvement in CHD prevention strategies and highlighting the importance of etiological studies. The mortality of CHD decreased worldwide, albeit the greatly geographical heterogeneity. Developing countries located in Africa and Asia deserve more attention and priority in the global CHD prevention program.

The effect of age distribution on the prognosis of retroperitoneal neuroblastoma.
Retroperitoneal neuroblastoma is a rare subtype of neuroblastoma and the role of age in its clinical prognosis is still unknown. To describe the age distribution and investigate the association between age and survival outcomes in patients diagnosed with retroperitoneal neuroblastoma. We retrospectively analyzed patients registered for retroperitoneal neuroblastoma in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) national database from 1973 to 2015. ⋯ Adjusted multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that ages ≥ 3 years were associated with a significant increased risks of disease-specific death and total death (OR = 2.5, 95% CI 1.7-3.8; OR = 2.3, 95% CI 1.6-3.3, respectively). There was a unimodal age distribution of retroperitoneal neuroblastoma usually presented in infants or younger child. Older age was associated with a lower chance of overall survival and the risk of disease-specific death increased sharply after 3 years of age.

We conducted a study to evaluate the prognostic and diagnostic values of microRNA-10b (miR-10b) in gastric cancer (GC) based on meta-analysis and TCGA database. Relevant studies were searched in English and Chinese database and meta-analysis was conducted on Stata 12.0. The expression value of miR-10b and clinical parameters of GC patients were downloaded from TCGA database, and relevant analyses were conducted on SPSS. ⋯ Meanwhile, the area under the ROC curve (AUC) value was 0.652 (0.562-0.742), P = .001. Disease-free survival analysis showed increasing miR-10b-5p was correlated with worse survival outcome (HR = 2.366, 95% CI: 1.414-3.959, P = .001). In conclusion, miR-10b acts as a tumor suppressor with prognostic and diagnostic values for GC.

Psoriasis vulgaris (PV) is a refractory and relapsing skin disease that affects the physical and mental health of patients and leads to poor quality of life. Current conventional systemic therapy shows a large side effect, which can not be used for a long time, easy to relapse after drug withdrawal, long-term efficacy is poor. At present, traditional Chinese medicine treatment of psoriasis vulgaris effective, can alleviate symptoms, improve the quality of life, stabilize the condition, prolong the remission period. Whereas, there is no related systematic review and meta-analysis. Thus, we intend to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to testify autologous blood or autologous serum acupoint injection therapy for Psoriasis Vulgaris. ⋯ INPLASY202040052.

Successful sirolimus therapy of an aplastic anemia patient with chronic kidney disease: A case report.
It is very difficult to treat patients with aplastic anemia accompanied by chronic kidney disease. The nephrotoxicity of cyclosporine limits its use in these patients. Most of these patients also lack suitable sibling donors. Sirolimus, as a new type of immunosuppressive agent, has good therapeutic effect, lower toxicity, especially lower nephrotoxicity, thus attracting the attention of hematologists. ⋯ We consider that sirolimus is a safe, effective, and well-tolerated oral drug that can be used as a treatment for aplastic anemia patients with chronic kidney disease.
