Osteoporosis (OP) and related fragility fractures are a significant public health problem which leads to pain, disability, loss function of independence, considerable complications and increased mortality. Exercise training is the only alternative strategy to improve multiple skeletal and fall risk factors simultaneously. Wuqinxi is 1 of the Chinese mind-body exercises using to improve physical and mental health and fight against diseases for thousands of years. Our study aims to systematically review the existing literature to further explore the efficacy and safety of Wuqinxi in the prevention and treatment of osteopenia and OP. ⋯ INPLASY202040135.

Fatal fulminant community-acquired pneumonia caused by hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae K2-ST86: Case report.
Invasive community-acquired infections, including pyogenic liver abscesses, caused by hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae (hvKp) strains have been well recognized worldwide. Among these, sporadic hvKp-related community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) is an acute-onset, rapidly progressing disease that can likely turn fatal, if left untreated. However, the clinical diagnosis of hvKp infection remains challenging due to its non-specific symptoms, lack of awareness regarding this disease, and no consensus definition of hvKp. ⋯ This is the first case of fatal fulminant CAP caused by a hvKp K2-ST86 strain reported in Japan. MLST was extremely useful for providing a definitive diagnosis for this infection. Thus, we propose that a biomarker-based approach should be considered even for an exploratory diagnosis of CAP related to hvKp infection.

Paradoxical reaction in tuberculosis (TB) is defined as the reappearance of general symptoms, aggravation of pre-existing diseases, or appearance of new lesions despite adequate anti-TB therapy. It may result from the hyperactivity of the immune response, resulting in an intense inflammation. There are few cases of vertebral TB reported as paradoxical reaction, mainly among immunocompetents patients. ⋯ Paradoxical reaction may be a difficult diagnosis in immunocompetent patient. Vertebral TB as a paradoxical reaction is an uncommon presentation. Therapeutic failure or resistance to treatment should be ruled out to confirm the diagnosis of paradoxical reaction.

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) is a severe pustular cutaneous adverse drug reaction. Sterile, non-follicular pustules overlying the erythematous skin characterize this reaction. ⋯ AGEP is a pustular cutaneous adverse drug reaction that can appear with pus-fluid levels, clinically mimicking Sneddon-Wilkinson disease. The differentiation between both conditions is a history of drug use, characteristic skin lesions and histopathology.

In China, the over 60 population is estimated to grow from 12% in 2010 to 33% of the overall population by 2050. The escalation in the aging population is projected to result in an Alzheimer's disease prevalence of 27.7 million people in China by 2050 causing substantial health and economic burden. While there are some published studies on multicomponent, non-pharmacological interventions for people with dementia, we have found no published community-based approach to care that encompasses personalized selection of non-pharmacological interventions, active social participation, and dementia education. ⋯ The community-based, multicomponent dementia social care program described in this case report has enabled a socially isolated patient with Alzheimer's disease to reduce her social isolation with an associated improvement in her mood and prevention of cognitive decline. Educating the community was an essential part of re-integrating the patient into the social setting. Reducing social isolation and increasing community engagement were essential to maintaining the patient's independence in her own home.
