The effectiveness of far-infrared irradiation on foot skin surface temperature and heart rate variability in healthy adults over 50 years of age: A randomized study.
Far-infrared irradiation (FIR) is used in the medical field to improve wound healing, hemodialysis with peripheral artery occlusive disease, and osteoarthritis but seldom used in ameliorating poor lower extremity circulation. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of FIR on changes in foot skin surface temperature (FSST) and autonomic nerve system (ANS) activity to evaluate its effectiveness in improving lower limb circulation. ⋯ FIR significantly increased the FSST from between 4°C and 7°C after 40 minutes irradiation, which might improve lower extremity circulation and regulation of ANS activity.

Family nursing with the assistance of network improves clinical outcome and life quality in patients underwent coronary artery bypass grafting: A consolidated standards of reporting trials-compliant randomized controlled trial.
Family nursing with the assistance of network (FNAN) improves nurses' practice and provides family/community-oriented nursing care. This study aimed to explore the effects of FNAN on the clinical outcome and life quality of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD) patients underwent coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).

The efficacy of a nursing care and follow-up program for patients with heart failure: Study protocol for a randomized controlled trial.
Heart failure (HF) is one of the primary causes of the increasing public health costs, incidence rate and mortality of heart disease. As treatment options for the HF have evolved, people have a better understanding of overall burden of HF, resulting a more centralized method for the treatment of these patients with chronic diseases. At present, with the rapid progress of medical technology, the nursing mode must be updated accordingly. The objective of this trial is to investigate the effects of the program of nursing care and follow-up on life quality, self-care, and the rehospitalization of patients with HF. ⋯ We hypothesize that the nursing care conducted for the HF patients may improve the life quality and self-care.

Effect of Hydroxychloroquine on Clinical Status at 14 Days in Hospitalized Patients With COVID-19: A Randomized Clinical Trial.
Data on the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are needed. ⋯ Among adults hospitalized with respiratory illness from COVID-19, treatment with hydroxychloroquine, compared with placebo, did not significantly improve clinical status at day 14. These findings do not support the use of hydroxychloroquine for treatment of COVID-19 among hospitalized adults.

The efficacy and safety of Clostridium butyricum and Bacillus coagulans in Helicobacter pylori eradication treatment: An open-label, single-arm pilot study.
Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) infection plays a critical role in gastritis-associated diseases, gastroduodenal ulcers, and even gastric cancer. Studies have shown that probiotics may exhibit antagonistic activity against H pylori. ⋯ C butyricum and B coagulans may effectively inhibit H pylori to some extent, with rare adverse events, and thus may reduce the burden of antibiotic resistance.
