Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), which include Crohn disease and ulcerative colitis, affect several million individuals worldwide. Curcumin as a complementary therapy has been used to cure the IBD, yet the efficacy and safety of curcumin remains to be assessed. In this study, we aim to draw up a protocol for systematic review to evaluate the efficacy and safety of curcumin for IBD. ⋯ INPLASY202090065.

Shengyang Yiwei Decoction for the treatment of chronic gastritis: A protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Chronic gastritis is a very common chronic gastric mucosal inflammatory disease in China. Long-term chronic inflammation will aggravate the disease and develop towards gastric cancer. Clinically, infection with Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) is a common cause. The application of antibiotics to eradicate H pylori has been reported to have produced drug resistance. However, the application of Shengyang Yiwei Decoction(SYD) in traditional Chinese medicine has resulted in significant clinical effects and small side effects. It is used for the treatment of chronic gastritis and other diseases, but there is a lack of systematic reviews on the treatment of chronic gastritis by SYD. This article reviews the efficacy and safety of SYD in the treatment of chronic gastritis. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/AZKUQ.

The efficacy of gefitinib supplementation for breast cancer: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled studies.
The efficacy of gefitinib supplementation for breast cancer remains controversial. We conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the influence of gefitinib supplementation vs placebo on the efficacy of breast cancer. ⋯ Gefitinib supplementation may provide no positive effect on complete response, progressive disease, partial response or stable disease for breast cancer patients, but with the increase in adverse events.

Reduning injection combined with western medicine for pneumonia: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Pneumonia is a common respiratory disease. In severe cases, it can induce cardiovascular disease and even life-threatening. In particular, pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) that broke out at the end of 2019 has seriously affected the health of people in all countries. In recent years, it has been treated with the combination of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) (such as Reduning injection) and Western medicine, and its mortality has decreased significantly. But their efficacy has not been scientifically and systematically assessed. Accordingly, it is essential to provide a systematized review program to estimate the efficacy and safety of Reduning injection combined with Western medicine to treat pneumonia. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/VS75Y.

Review Meta AnalysisSurgical treatment for tubal disease in women due to undergo in vitro fertilisation.
Tubal disease accounts for 20% of infertility cases. Hydrosalpinx, caused by distal tubal occlusion leading to fluid accumulation in the tube(s), is a particularly severe form of tubal disease negatively affecting the outcomes of assisted reproductive technology (ART). It is thought that tubal surgery may improve the outcome of ART in women with hydrosalpinges. ⋯ We found moderate-quality evidence that salpingectomy prior to ART probably increases the CPR compared to no surgery in women with hydrosalpinges. When comparing tubal occlusion to no intervention, we found that tubal occlusion may increase CPR, although the evidence was of low quality. We found insufficient evidence of any effect on procedure- or pregnancy-related adverse events when comparing tubal surgery to no intervention. Importantly, none of the studies reported on long term fertility outcomes. Further high-quality trials are required to definitely determine the impact of tubal surgery on IVF and pregnancy outcomes of women with hydrosalpinges, particularly for LBR and surgical complications; and to investigate the relative efficacy and safety of the different surgical modalities in the treatment of hydrosalpinges prior to ART.
