Amivantamab plus Chemotherapy in NSCLC with EGFR Exon 20 Insertions.
Amivantamab has been approved for the treatment of patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) exon 20 insertions who have had disease progression during or after platinum-based chemotherapy. Phase 1 data showed the safety and antitumor activity of amivantamab plus carboplatin-pemetrexed (chemotherapy). Additional data on this combination therapy are needed. ⋯ The use of amivantamab-chemotherapy resulted in superior efficacy as compared with chemotherapy alone as first-line treatment of patients with advanced NSCLC with EGFR exon 20 insertions. (Funded by Janssen Research and Development; PAPILLON ClinicalTrials.gov number, NCT04538664.).

Long-Term Blood Pressure Control After Hypertensive Pregnancy Following Physician-Optimized Self-Management: The POP-HT Randomized Clinical Trial.
Pregnancy hypertension results in adverse cardiac remodeling and higher incidence of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases in later life. ⋯ In this single-center trial, self-monitoring and physician-guided titration of antihypertensive medications was associated with lower blood pressure during the first 9 months postpartum than usual postnatal outpatient care in the UK.

Zibotentan in combination with dapagliflozin compared with dapagliflozin in patients with chronic kidney disease (ZENITH-CKD): a multicentre, randomised, active-controlled, phase 2b, clinical trial.
In patients with chronic kidney disease, SGLT2 inhibitors and endothelin A receptor antagonists (ERAs) can reduce albuminuria and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) decline. We assessed the albuminuria-lowering efficacy and safety of the ERA zibotentan combined with the SGLT2 inhibitor dapagliflozin. ⋯ AstraZeneca.

Effects of Remote Patient Monitoring Use on Care Outcomes Among Medicare Patients With Hypertension : An Observational Study.
Remote patient monitoring (RPM) is a promising tool for improving chronic disease management. Use of RPM for hypertension monitoring is growing rapidly, raising concerns about increased spending. However, the effects of RPM are still unclear. ⋯ National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

Effect of manual hyperinflation with versus without positive end-expiratory pressure on dynamic compliance in pediatric patients following congenital heart surgery: A randomized controlled trial.
We aimed to compare the effect of manual hyperinflation with versus without positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) on dynamic compliance of the respiratory system in pediatric patients undergoing congenital heart surgery; to assess the safety of the technique in this population. ⋯ Manual hyperinflation was safe and well tolerated in pediatric patients following surgery for congenital heart disease. No significant change in dynamic compliance of the respiratory system or in oxygenation was observed with the use of manual hyperinflation with or without PEEP in this population.
