Meta AnalysisPrevalence of human papillomavirus DNA and p16INK4a positivity in vulvar cancer and vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA and p16INK4a positivity have crucial roles in the pathogenesis of vulvar cancer and vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia. We aimed to examine the pooled prevalence of HPV DNA and p16INK4a positivity in vulvar cancer and vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia worldwide. ⋯ Taishan Scholar Youth Project of Shandong Province, China.

Although colorectal cancer (CRC) is a serious cause of death and has a significant impact on patients' quality of life and incidence rate of CRC has increased among the younger populations, bibliometric research of CRC has not been conducted yet. To perform a comprehensive analysis of scientific publications on CRC using various statistical and bibliometric techniques. Publications on CRC published between 1980 and 2021 were downloaded from the Web of Science database and analyzed using statistical methods. ⋯ There was a significant positive correlation between the number of articles produced by the countries on CRC and gross domestic product and human development index (r = 0.726, P < .001; r = 0.658, P < .001, respectively). Additionally, a significant moderate correlation of CRC was found with gross domestic product per capita (r = 0.711, P < .001). Keywords like overall survival, neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy, locally advanced rectal cancer, robotic surgery, anastomotic leakage, chemoradiotherapy, metastatic colorectal cancer, KRAS, meta-analysis, colorectal surgery, and laparoscopic surgery were studied.

The human aldo-keto reductase (AKRs) superfamily is involved in the development of various tumors. However, the different expression patterns of AKRs and their prognostic value in gastric cancer (GC) have not been clarified. In this study, we analyzed the gene expression and gene methylation level of AKRs in GC patients and the survival data and immune infiltration based on AKRs expression, using data from different databases. ⋯ The methylation of AKR6A5 (KCNAB2) at cg05307871 and cg01907457 was significantly associated with the classification of GC. Meta-analysis and ROC curve analysis show that the expression level of AKR1B1 and the methylation of cg16156182 (KCNAB1), cg11194299 (KCNAB2), cg16132520 (AKR1B1), and cg13801416 (AKR1B1) had a high hazard ratio and a good prognostic value. These data suggest that the expression and methylation of AKR1B1 and AKR6A5 are significantly related to the prognosis.

Craniosacral therapy (CST) has remained controversial in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. To our knowledge, there is no larger sample size of research to demonstrate the effectiveness of craniosacral therapy in the human suboccipital region on hamstring muscle. ⋯ CST could change the flexibility of the hamstring muscles. CST had a better curative effect when compared to proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation technique on the hamstring muscles.

Meta AnalysisEpstein Barr Virus Reactivation during COVID-19 Hospitalization Significantly Increased Mortality/Death in SARS-CoV-2(+)/EBV(+) than SARS-CoV-2(+)/EBV(-) Patients: A Comparative Meta-Analysis.
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) reactivation in acute-phase of COVID-19 disease was recently discovered but it is not clear in terms of degree of mortality caused, and this was the aim of the current study. Six databases and three non-databases were thoroughly searched, independently. The articles related to non-human study (abstract, in vitro, in vivo, in silico, case study, poster, and review articles) were excluded for main analysis. ⋯ This finding is equivalent to the absolute mortality effect of 130 more per 1000 COVID-19 patients (95% CI: 34-296). Furthermore, based on statistical analysis, D-dimer was not statistically significantly different (p > 0.05) between the groups although studies have shown that D-dimer was statistically significantly different (p < 0.05) between these groups. Based on the inclusion and analysis of low risk of bias and high quality of articles graded with Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS), when COVID-19 patients' health state is gradually worsening, EBV reactivation needs to be suspected because EBV reactivation is a possible marker for COVID-19 disease severity.
