External treatment of traditional Chinese medicine for cancer pain: A systematic review and network meta-analysis.
Cancer pain is one of the most intolerable and frightening symptoms of cancer patients. However, the clinical effect of the three-step analgesic ladder method (TSAL) is not satisfactory. The combination of external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) can improve the clinical effect. ⋯ TSAL combined with manual acupuncture is the best in terms of clinical efficacy and improvement of patients' functional activity status. With the extension of treatment time, the intervention of this kind of treatment on the clinical effect is more pronounced. Acupoint external application also has a unique advantage in reducing the pain level of patients. From the point of view of analgesic duration and duration of analgesia, combined acupoint moxibustion has the best effect.

Leucine rich repeat LGI family member 3 (LGI3) is a member of the LGI protein family. Previous studies of our group have reported that LGI3 is expressed in adipose tissue, skin and brain, and serves as a multifunctional cytokine. LGI3 may also be involved in cytokine networks in various cancers. ⋯ Analysis of favorable or unfavorable prognostic gene products in PAC showed that 93 LGI3-regulated genes were differentially associated with PAC prognosis. LGI3 expression was correlated with the tumor-infiltration levels of various immune cells. Taken together, these results suggested that LGI3 may be a potential prognostic marker of PAC.

Amphiregulin is a member of the EGFR family, which is involved in many physiological and pathological processes through its binding with EGFR. Studies have found that amphiregulin plays an important role in the occurrence and development of lung diseases. This paper mainly reviews the structure and function of amphiregulin and focuses on the important role of amphiregulin in lung diseases.

Previous studies have found that the main treatment of sinus arrest is pacemaker treatment. It is rare to have 12 s of sinus arrest after radiofrequency ablation, and whether a permanent pacemaker is implanted immediately in this case is not described in the guidelines. ⋯ We consider the potential for postoperative myocardial edema, injury to the sinoatrial node during the procedure, propafenone poisoning, and autonomic dysfunction as contributors to the occurrence of sinus arrest after radiofrequency ablation. When sinus arrest occurs after radiofrequency ablation, we can choose the appropriate treatment according to the patient's condition.

Methimazole (MMI) is the first-line agent in the treatment of hyperthyroidism. However, rare but severe cholestatic jaundice may occur. Therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) may provide an alternative treatment for such patients and they received thyroidectomy/radioactive iodine ablation or continued oral anti hyperthyroidism medication immediately after TPE session in the reported literatures. The case reported here is, to our knowledge, the first to describe the long interval between anti hyperthyroidism therapy and TPE in such patients. ⋯ Due to the complex interplay between liver function and thyroid hormones, there may be unusual changes of thyroid function in GD patients with severe liver injury after TPE. By this case, we want to highlight the importance of a closely following up of thyroid function in order to deliver appropriate health suggestions for patients.
