We found the G132R heterozygous mutation of thyroid stimulating hormone receptor (TSHR) gene in a patient with recurrent hypokalemia. Because the patient had a medical history of hyperthyroidism, the mutation was suspected to be related to hyperthyroidism at first. Subsequently, the expression and function studies in vitro were conducted. ⋯ We identified the G132R monoallelic heterozygous mutation of TSHR gene in a patient with hyperthyroidism. Based on disease history of the patient, we speculated that the heterozygous mutation did not cause thyroid dysplasia or hypothyroidism for her. Our study enriched experiment content in vitro studies and clinical phenotype about the G132R mutation in TSHR gene.

Primary multiple endocrine insufficiency during immune checkpoint inhibitor treatment: A case report.
Immunotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) has shown promising activity against many tumor types. However, they can also induce a wide array of immune-related adverse events, ranging from mild to fatal. Primary 3 endocrine gland insufficiency during treatment with ICI has rarely been reported. ⋯ Clinicians should be aware of the potential of immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy to cause endocrine dysfunction. Prompt recognition and management of these adverse events are crucial for patient health and quality of life.

Impaired lower extremity motor function and knee pain are common concerns in patients with patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS). It is essential to plan therapeutic techniques to therapy PFPS. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) combined with functional training on pain, lower extremity function and muscle recruitment in patients with PFPS. ⋯ Functional training and NMES combined with functional training are helpful to improve pain, knee function and muscle recruitment of PFPS patients. NMES combined with functional training was more effective compared to the control group. This may help clinical trialists to use different NMES to synchronize other interventions in future studies to enhance rehabilitation efficacy in PFPS patients through passive training versus active stimulation.

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Buzhongyiqi decoction combined with acupoint application in the treatment of functional constipation in elderly people. ⋯ Buzhongyiqi decoction combined with acupoint application has potential value in the treatment of functional constipation in elderly people. Currently, there is insufficient clinical evidence to objectively evaluate safety grades for this combination therapy.

Effectiveness and safety of tendon-bone-setting in postpartum women with sacroiliac joint pain: A retrospective multicenter study.
Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain leads to abnormal joint loading, and is a key risk factor for joint degeneration. This study aimed to determine the effect of tendon-bone-setting on postpartum women with SIJ pain. Multicenter retrospective review of medical records and electroencephalography reports in 10 academic medical centers. 328 postpartum women with sacroiliac joint pain were divided into 2 groups according to the methods of therapy. ⋯ Also, the cumulative incidence of pain relief at 24 months in the group (A) was greater compared with the group (B) as determined by Kaplan-Meier analysis (P < .05). Interestingly, none serious adverse event for the participants was reported. Tendon-Bone-Setting is effective and safe in treating sacroiliac joint pain for the postpartum women patients in the short and long terms through decreasing pain sensitivity and intensity, as well as improving functional ability.
