This study examined the effects of recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide (rhBNP) combined with tolvaptan on cardiac and renal function and serum inflammatory factors in patients with severe heart failure (HF). This retrospective study included 90 patients with severe HF who were treated at our hospital between January 2019 and August 2021. Patients treated with tolvaptan tablets were assigned to the control group, and those treated with rhBNP combined with tolvaptan were assigned to the observation group. ⋯ The 6 minutes walking test was higher and the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire score was lower in the observation group compared with the control group (P < .05). The incidence of adverse reactions such as dry mouth, nausea, polyuria, hypotension, and headache in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P < .05). In conclusion, for patients with severe HF, rhBNP combined with tolvaptan can improve cardiac function, alleviate symptoms of dyspnea, protect renal function, and reduce serum inflammatory factor levels when compared with tolvaptan alone.

Prognostic value of CASC15 and LINC01600 as competitive endogenous RNAs in lung adenocarcinoma: An observational study.
Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) can directly or indirectly regulate gene expression through interacting with microRNAs (miRNAs). Competitive endogenous RNAs render the roles of lncRNAs more complicated in the process of tumor occurrence and progression. However, the prognostic value of lncRNAs as potential biomarkers and their functional roles as competitive endogenous RNAs have not been clearly described for lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). ⋯ Some key lncRNAs in this network were subsequently identified as LUAD prognosis-related, and of those, CASC15 and LINC01600 both performed the potential prognostic characteristics with LUAD regarding OS and recurrence. Comprehensive analysis indicated that the expression of LINC01600 was significantly associated with KRAS mutation and lymph node metastasis, and CASC15 and LINC01600 were significantly tended towards co-occurrence, which may be due to the similarity of genes co-expressed by these 2 lncRNAs. Our findings provided novel insight into better understanding of ceRNA regulatory mechanisms in the pathogenesis of LUAD and facilitated the identification of potential biomarkers for prognosis.

Effects of technology-assisted rehabilitation for patients with hip arthroplasty: A meta-analysis.
To investigate the efficacy of technology-assisted rehabilitation compared to that of usual care programs after total hip arthroplasty (THA) through randomized controlled trials (RCTs). ⋯ The findings suggest that technology-assisted rehabilitation, especially telerehabilitation, have been shown to improve the physical function of patients following THA compared to conventional rehabilitation. More robust studies are needed to validate the long-term efficacy and safety of innovative technology-assisted training strategies.

Early clinical efficacy analysis of enhanced recovery following surgery combined with interscalene brachial plexus block for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.
To explore the early clinical value of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) with interscalene brachial plexus block (ISB) for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (ARCR). We enrolled 240 patients who underwent arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, randomly divided into 3 groups (n = 80 each). Groups A, B, and C underwent only surgery, surgery + ERAS, and ISB + surgery + ERAS, respectively. ⋯ Joint swelling was more common in Group A than in Groups B and C (P < .05) but with no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative stiffness (P > .05). ERAS can relieve postoperative pain, shorten LOS, and help restore shoulder joint mobility, thereby reducing postoperative swelling. ISB + ERAS optimized pain control and allowed a shorter LOS, but had similar effects on early functional recovery and complications.

The impact of aerobic exercise on health-related quality of life among patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis.
To investigate the effect of exercise on cardiopulmonary function and the life quality of maintenance hemodialysis patients. Eighty-four patients who underwent maintenance hemodialysis treatment for more than 3 months were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The general data and nutritional indexes, including hemoglobin and plasma albumin, before and after the experiment. ⋯ In addition, following 24 weeks of exercise, the Depression score of the exercise group showed a statistically significant improvement when compared to the control group (P < .05). After the intervention, hemoglobin improved significantly in the experimental group (P < .05). Intradialytic exercise can improve hemoglobin, Alb, pulmonary function, aerobic capacity, and exercise endurance in maintenance hemodialysis patients, so as to improve the quality of life, which is worthy of further promotion.
