Stratification of Stage II Colon Cancer Using Recurrence Prediction Value: A Multi-institutional International Retrospective Study.
To create a recurrence prediction value (RPV) of high-risk factor and identify the patients with high risk of cancer recurrence. ⋯ RPV can identify stage II colon cancer patients with high risk of cancer recurrence worldwide.

The use of noninvasive techniques [noninvasive ventilation (NIV) or high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) oxygen therapy] to support oxygenation and/or ventilation in patients with respiratory failure has become widespread, even more so since the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. The use of these modalities may impair the patient's ability to eat. "To breath or to eat" may become a dilemma. In this review, we identify the patients at risk of malnutrition that require medical nutritional therapy and understand the mechanisms of function of the devices to better give adapted nutritional indications for noninvasive ventilation or high flow nasal cannula. ⋯ The patient requiring noninvasive ventilation presents one of the most challenging nutritional challenges. The main steps to improve nutrition administration are to assess nutritional status, evaluate the presence of dysphagia, choose the most adequate tool of respiratory support, and adapt nutritional therapy (oral, enteral, or parenteral) accordingly.

The Effectiveness of Virtual and Augmented Reality in Surgical Pain Management: A Systematic Review of Randomized Controlled Trials.
Satisfactory management of postoperative pain remains challenging. Nonpharmacological modalities such as virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) offer potential benefits and are becoming increasingly popular. This systematic review evaluates the effectiveness and safety of VR/AR interventions on postoperative pain and recovery. ⋯ Evidence from RCTs indicates that the use of immersive VR during minor procedures may reduce procedural pain, decrease anxiety, and improve satisfaction. However, small studies, inconsistent effect, and variation in the application of interventions are important limitations. Evidence to support the application of AR/VR for major surgeries is limited and needs to be further investigated. Use of home-based physiotherapy with AR likely has economic advantages, and facilitates virtual care for appropriate patients who can access and use the technology safely.

To analyze postrecurrence progression in the context of recurrence sites and assess implications for postrecurrence treatment. ⋯ Except for lung recurrence, postrecurrence survival after PDAC resection is associated with poor survival. A subset of patients with local-only recurrence do not quickly succumb to systemic spread. This is associated with markers for favorable tumor biology, making them candidates for potential curative re-resections when feasible.

The Effect of Psychoeducation Based on Leventhal's Self-Regulation Model on Dysmenorrhoea in Nursing Students: A Single-Blind Randomised Controlled Study.
The use of self-analgesics among women for dysmenorrhoea is common. Non-pharmacological methods can be employed to effectively cope with dysmenorrhoea. Psychoeducation based on Leventhal's Self-Regulation Model (SRM) is an affordable, easy, and non-pharmacological way that clinics can use to cope with dysmenorrhoea. ⋯ The psychoeducation reduced the severity of dysmenorrhoea pain and the functional and emotional impact levels of dysmenorrhoea and it was proved to be effective at helping the subjects cope with pain in the long term.
