[The "Fourth Wave"? COVID-19 and consecutive cognitive impairment].
The COVID-19 pandemic poses new challenges for the healthcare systems world-wide which will go beyond prevention, acute and intensive care treatment of patients with severe illness. A large proportion of "COVID-survivors" - and not only elderly patients - suffers from "post-COVID-syndrome". ⋯ Several pathogenetic mechanisms of COVID encephalopathy are understood, but no specific treatment strategies have been established so far. We assume that general practitioners, psychiatrists, neurologists and social workers will need to take care of the activation, reintegration and expert appraisals of patients with post-COVID fatigue and cognitive deficits during the years to come.

Background Paraquat is an inexpensive herbicide used in agriculture because it is easily available and the cost of labour for manual clearance of weeds is prohibitive. Paraquat is toxic to human beings and is also used for committing suicide. We studied the reasons for under-reporting of paraquat poisoning including those related to the training of doctors. ⋯ Most of the casualty medical officers and residents were unfamiliar with the symptoms and signs of paraquat poisoning as was evident by their answers to the questionnaire. Knowledge of medical students about paraquat poisoning was not assessed in the theory examinations and viva. Conclusion Factors contributing to the limitation in establishing the diagnosis are illiteracy and ignorance of the patients, lack of specific signs and lack of training of medical officers in treating patients with paraquat poisoning.

IVF Outcomes of Microdose Flare-up, GnRH Antagonist, and Long Protocols in Patients having a Poor Ovarian Response in the First Treatment Cycle.
To compare the IVF outcome of patients assumed to be poor responders before their first cycle treated by microdose flare-up or GnRH antagonist protocols with patients who had a poor ovarian response after their first cycle stimulated with long GnRH protocol. ⋯ Long protocol may be an option in poor responders undergoing IVF. Ovarian reserve markers are essential factors with stimulation protocol for the success of IVF in poor responder patients. Key Words: Infertility, Ovulation ınduction, Ovarian reserve, Fertilisation in-vitro, Oocyte retrieval, Pregnancy outcome, Reproductive techniques, Assisted.

Observational StudyCorrelation of the Radiological Emphysema Score of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients with Clinic Parameters.
To evaluate the association between the degree of emphysema on computed tomography (CT) images and disease severity, in order to predict the clinical characteristics of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). ⋯ CT-emphysema severity can be used to classify COPD to assist in the clinical characterisation of patients. This type of classification is important to determine the underlying pathophysiology and genomic profile of COPD. Key Words: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Computed tomography, Emphysema.
