It is important to investigate children's eating habits based on different eating behaviors such as satiety responsiveness (SR), slowness in eating (SE), food fussiness (FF), food responsiveness (FR), enjoyment of food (EF), desire to drink (DD), emotional under-eating (EUE), and emotional over-eating (EOE). The main objective of this research was to investigate whether gender affects the eating habits of Nigerian school children. A cross-sectional survey was conducted between March and June 2019. ⋯ However, EUE was lower in boys than girls, t (118) = -4.339, P < .001; FR was lower in boys than girls, t(118) = -3.112, P < .001; SE was lower in boys than girls, t(118) = -3.832, P < .001; thus, gender had a significant influence on eating habits of the school children. Gender significantly affects the eating habits of Nigerian school children. Thus, gender is an important factor to be considered when aiming to improve the eating habits of Nigerian school children.

Minor salivary gland biopsy (MSGB) is often used in patients lacking specific autoantibodies (seronegative patients) to confirm the presence of focal lymphocytic sialadenitis (FLS), which would suggest a diagnosis of Sjogren syndrome. There are no current guidelines indicating when to refer patients for MSGB. The objective of our study was to ascertain distinguishing clinical and laboratory features among individuals with sicca symptoms based on their serologic and histopathologic status, and to identify factors associated with FLS. ⋯ Smoking and antihistamine use were associated with lower odds of FLS. In the appropriate clinical context, seronegative patients with sicca symptoms and no smoking history could be considered for MSGB. A thorough medication and smoking history should be performed in all patients before referral for MSGB.

This study aimed to explore the clinical characteristics, therapeutic efficacy and prognostic factors of peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL). ⋯ PTCL is poor in therapeutic efficacy and prognosis, and different pathological types, Ann Arbor stage, presence/absence of bone marrow involved and Hb level are related with the prognosis of PTCL patients. Anemia occurring before the treatment is an important predictive indicator influencing the prognosis of PTCL patients and patients who experience anemia will be poor in prognosis.

Neurogenic fever is a non-infectious source of fever in a patient with brain injury, especially hypothalamic injury. We report on a stroke patient with neurogenic fever due to injury of hypothalamus, demonstrated by using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). ⋯ Our results suggest that evaluation of hypothalamus using DTI would be helpful in patients show unexplained fever following brain injury.
