Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) is a relatively serious complication commonly seen in pregnant women, especially parturients with pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH), whose incidence of DVT is higher. Because it can lead to pulmonary embolism (PE) and endanger the lives of patients, it has been paid much attention in clinic. Nursing plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of DVT. Early posture intervention can prevent postpartum DVT in hypertensive pregnant women, which has certain clinical value, but there is no evidence of evidence-based medicine. This study aims to systematically study the effectiveness and safety of postural intervention on prevention of deep venous thrombosis of lower extremity in postpartum women with PIH. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/4NPKW.

Two years follow-up of golimumab treatment in refractory enteropathic spondyloarthritis patients with Crohn disease: A STROBE-compliant study.
Golimumab is a fully human monoclonal antibody against tumor necrosis factor (TNF) approved for the treatment of ulcerative colitis and not for Crohn disease (CD). Many CD patients experience primary, secondary failure, or intolerance to other TNF inhibitors (TNFi) approved in Italy for CD (adalimumab and infliximab). Spondyloarthritis (SpA) may be associated with CD (enteropathic, ESpA) in up to 50% of patients requiring a multidisciplinary and tailored approach. ⋯ No adverse events were registered in the follow-up. We demonstrate good clinical efficacy and safety profile of both gastrointestinal and rheumatologic involvement. This may indicate promising therapeutic option for ESpA patients affected by CD, and non-responsive to other TNFi.

Can intraoperative ultrasound visualize the closed reduction and elastic intramedullary nail fixation processes of double forearm fractures in children?
To evaluate the feasibility of utilizing ultrasonography to monitor the fracture reduction and elastic intramedullary nail fixation processes in treating children with double forearm fractures. A retrospective analysis of 30 children with double forearm fractures treated at our hospital between January 2016 and July 2018. The children were aged 3 to 10 years. ⋯ Intraoperative ultrasound monitoring can clearly show the shape and changes in fracture ends, distal growth plates, and surrounding soft tissues, and fracture reduction and passage of elastic nail processes at fracture ends during closed reduction; therefore, visualizing closed reductions can be achieved. The combination of intraoperative ultrasound and radiographic imaging can ensure operative effects and significantly reduce radiation exposure for both doctors and patients. An adequately powered prospective randomized trial is required to confirm our findings.

The immunologic syndrome induced by severe acute coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is yet not fully understood. Typical patterns of clinical and laboratory features match secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (sHLH). However, the optimal approach to COVID-19 patients testing positive for sHLH is still unclear. ⋯ A routine screening of COVID-19 patients for secondary HLH by using the HScore is feasible; especially those patients deteriorating clinically with no sufficient response to shock management might be at particular high risk. A stepwise therapeutic approach comprising corticosteroids, immunoglobulins and anakinra, accompanied by immunoadsorption, may dampen cytokine storm effects, and potentially reduce mortality.

Human norovirus (NoV) is the leading cause of acute gastroenteritis and the rapid transmission of NoV renders infection control problematic. Our study aimed to investigate viral shedding in gastroenteritis in children caused by variants of emerging norovirus strains infections. We used RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) sequencing to measure NoV genome copies in stool to understand the relationship between the clinical manifestations and viral shedding in hospitalized patients. ⋯ P16-GII.2 variants during the 2017 to 2018 period. The viral load and shedding period and was different in variants of NoV infections in children. High mutation rate of emerging and re-emerging variants was observed to an enhanced epidemic risk rendering continuous surveillance.
