Sarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous disorder of unknown cause that occurs in both men and women of all races. It typically presents in patients after 20 years of age. Sarcoidosis most frequently involves the lung, but up to 30 percent of patients present with extra-thoracic manifestations. ⋯ He later developed skin lesions which were biopsied and led to correct diagnosis of sarcoidosis. Hence, a clinician should be aware of all the spectrums of presentations of rare diseases like sarcoidosis and always keep it as a differential when treating common diseases like tuberculosis. Correlation of Breast Cancer Subgroups and Axillary Metastases with 18F-FDG PET/CT and the Contribution of 18F-FDG PET/CT in the Management of the Axilla.
To investigate whether breast and axilla maximum standard uptake (SUVmax) values contribute to the treatment approach in breast cancer subgroups. ⋯ As the biological aggressiveness of tumor increased, SUVmax values increased in parallel. Recent research in atopic dermatitis (AD) has identified it to be a heterogeneous inflammatory skin disorder of different endotypes (immune polarisation of T-cell subsets and genetic mutations) underlying various phenotypes (age of onset, ethnicity, disease severity, etc.). The corresponding heterogeneity in underlying patho-mechanisms of the disease has resulted in an impetus towards an endotype-driven management of AD. We propose a practical approach that is based on classifying AD patients into intrinsic and extrinsic phenotypes and their corresponding underlying endotypes. This approach aims to provide a practical method that integrates recent understanding of AD pathogenesis for a targeted endotype-driven management of AD.
