To report a case of cervical radiculopathy caused by an anomalous vertebral artery (VA) and illustrate the efficacy of microvascular decompression by the anterolateral approach. ⋯ Cervical root compression by an aberrant or anomalous extracranial VA is a rare cause of radiculopathy. The best management of such lesions is the anterolateral approach with bony and direct microvascular decompression.

Anomalous origins of bilateral vertebral arteries in a child with Down syndrome and Moyamoya disease. A case report.
Variations in vertebral artery origin and course are well-described in the literature. The origin of right vertebral artery from the right common carotid artery is an extremely rare variant. We describe a unique case of a child with Down syndrome with variant origins of bilateral vertebral artery, an aberrant right subclavian artery and concomitant Moyamoya disease of intracranial circulation. The presence of variations of the origin and course of craniocervical arteries might have profound implications in angiographic and surgical procedures and hence it is of great importance to be aware of such a possibility.

The authors report an extremely rare cause of cervicomedullary cord compression by anomalous ectatic vertebral arteries. ⋯ Anomalous course of the vertebral artery can result in symptoms of high cervical cord compression. Vasculopexy can result in lasting cure from symptoms.

Anatomical variations of the V2 vertebral artery study by measuring the width of transverse foramen.
To evaluate the incidence of anatomical variations of the V2 segment of the vertebral artery (VA) using dry bones. ⋯ Anatomical variations of the V2 segment of the VA do exist at C4, C5, and C7. The awareness of this abnormality may reduce the risk of catastrophic intraoperative VA injury.
