An objective of the Military Health System is to deliver an improved health care experience. Patient satisfaction affects the patient experience, health outcomes, and treatment compliance. The purpose of this study is to identify indicators of high and low patient satisfaction within a military dental setting. ⋯ There were important differences in patient satisfaction by military Service and clinic size, suggesting that improvement in satisfaction may need to be Service specific. These differences warrant further research that could inform policy changes directed at improving service members' dental care and readiness.

Solitary pulmonary nodules (SPNs) are common, but the clinical relevance of these nodules is unknown. Utilizing current screening guidelines, we sought to better characterize the national incidence of clinically important SPNs within the largest universal health care system in the nation. ⋯ This analysis represents the largest evaluation of SPNs to date combined with clinical relevance adjustment. These data suggest a higher incidence of clinically significant SPNs starting at an age of 44 years in nonmilitary or retired women localized to the Midwest and Western regions of the United States.

Characteristics of Haemophilus influenzae carriage among healthy children in China: A meta-analysis.
Haemophilus influenzae (Hi) commonly causes invasive and noninvasive bacterial infections. Nationwide investigation on the carriage characteristics of H influenzae in healthy children in China is lacking. We reviewed the prevalence of H influenzae infections in this population. ⋯ The carriage rate of Hi in healthy children in China was 21% with no sex-related age differences. The proportion of Hi in winter was high, and the proportions of Hi in different regions were significantly different. NTHi was the predominant serotype detected in children.
