    AbstractA case of severe bronchospasm occurring during epidural anaesthesia in a patient undergoing Caesarean section is described. The aetiology of the bronchospasm may have been related to sympathetic nervous blockade allowing unopposed parasympathetically mediated bronchoconstriction.
