AbstractThe management of a patient who required positive pressure ventilation following pharyngolaryngo-oesophagectomy during which tracheal injury was sustained is described. Ventilation with a tracheal tube resulted in a massive pneumoperitoneum. Bilateral bronchial intubation was employed with success.
