AbstractEmploying a simple sawing gauge system in intertrochanteric osteotomies, it is possible to effect "functional pre-bending" of the angled blade plate osteosynthesis in order to achieve better interfragmentary compression and further improve the precision of the standardized AO technique. This new technique may lead to a further reduction of intraoperative and post-operative failures.
