Review Meta AnalysisCarbetocin for the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
To compare the efficacy and safety profile of carbetocin with other uterotonic agents in preventing postpartum hemorrhage. ⋯ Carbetocin has been associated with a similar low incidence of adverse effects to oxytocin and at least as effective as syntometrine and may become an alternative uterotonic agent for the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage. Further studies should be conducted to determine the safety and efficacy profile of carbetocin in women with cardiac disorders and to analyze the cost-effectiveness and minimum effective dose of carbetocin.

Multicenter Study Observational StudyCord clamping time in spontaneously breathing preterm neonates in the first minutes after birth: impact on cerebral oxygenation - a prospective observational study.
To analyse impact of delayed cord clamping (DCC60sec) on cerebral regional tissue oxygenation (crSO2) and fractional tissue oxygen extraction (cFTOE) in spontaneously breathing preterm neonates during the first 15 min after birth. ⋯ Attending practitioners should be aware that DCC might impact initial immediate transition in spontaneously breathing preterm neonates.

Randomized Controlled TrialCarbetocin versus oxytocin for prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in obese nulliparous women undergoing emergency cesarean delivery.
To assess and compare the effectiveness and safety of single IV polus dose of carbetocin, versus IV oxytocin infusion in the prevention of PPH in obese nulliparous women undergoing emergency Cesarean Delivery. ⋯ A single 100-µg IV carbetocin is more effective than IV oxytocin infusion for maintaining adequate uterine tone and preventing postpartum bleeding in obese nulliparous women undergoing emergency cesarean delivery, both has similar safety profile and minor hemodynamic effect.

Early screening for critical congenital heart defects in asymptomatic newborns in Bursa province.
In this study, pulse oximetry screening results in the early diagnosis of critical congenital heart diseases (CCHD) will be evaluated. ⋯ The diagnosis of coarctation of the aorta is missed in the newborns screened with pulse oximetry in the first 24-48 h after birth. Screening with pulse oximetry should be repeated for early diagnosis of coarctation of the aorta.

Observational StudyBorderline hypotension: how does it influence cerebral regional tissue oxygenation in preterm infants?
To monitor cerebral regional tissue oxygenation (crSO2) of preterm infants continuously and to analyze the influence of arterial hypotension on crSO2. ⋯ Mild short-term hypotensive episodes in preterm infants did not affect crSO2. This suggests that cerebral autoregulation is maintained in case of borderline-hypotension and may protect infants from cerebral injury.
